I have tried buying SPS and oxbow for him and ne just hates the stuff. He’s not eaten no his current hay at all so I don’t have time to order online. The only place near me that actually sells hay is tractor supply. I looked at the Dumor and that looks like kaytee but it may not be as bad. There’s also he Stanlee but that’s for horses. If you’ve bought hay from tractor supply, please let me know which. He’s not eating hay and its freaking me out.

He only likes alfalfa hay but it’s way to fattening. He will eat Timothy as long as it’s soft

I do not buy from Tractor Supply Co but many people on this forum buy from there and say Standlee is fine.

I use this website called HayMap where you can connect with people who sell hay. It starts by filling out a request for hay. Once the seller gets the request they contact you by email or text and you can arrange a time to pick it up and also how many bales you want. Then you go and get it once your ready! I really like the website because the hay is very cheap there and my bunny loves it. (I got 110 bales of Orchard hay for only 11$!) I’m pretty sure its only available in the U.S though. But yes, Standlee is fine just make sure you get timothy or any other high fiber low protein hay. You can also experiment with different types of hay such as oat and orchard. Caroline(My rabbit) likes Alfalfa, Timothy and Orchard but she hates Oat because it is so hard and stalky.

Thanks! My Tractor Supply actually didn’t have the Stanlee so I had to get this brand called Dumor which is made for small animals. This is not the hay I’m going to feed my rabbit as his main hay, but I just needed hay to feed him until I  found something he likes. I’ve tried oxbow and SPS and he hates both. Believe it or not, he actually liked the Tractor Supply hay, but it’s way to shredded. Whenever I take it out of the bag to put it in his hay rack, all these crumbs of hay fall out. It’s  not god quality and it’s very messy, but at least he liked it. and I’ve been thinking about getting hay from a local farmer. I just have to find one.

Yay! I am glad he liked it. I buy treats from Dumor. You can try that website and see if he likes that too.
