One day hopefully about a year from now I will have a place I own instead of renting. That being said I plan to let my two unbounded rabbits split a room in the house in such a way that they both have space but cannot get to each other. I want them to have flooring that will be comfortable and safe. I am willing to spend money on good quality floor provided that it lasts for a good amount of time. At the same time however, I will likely be recently starting a career so won’t have a ton of money. And note also that there is likely to be soft places like a bed regardless of flooring. What then is the best affordable flooring?

I have the laminate/vinyl fake hardwood and it looks nice, has not seams, and is very easy to sweep up. Pee doesn’t stain it and vinegar works fine as a cleaner without ruining the flooring. If you add on rugs, it’d be nice since the floor will seem slippy at first for them.
