Hi. My now 3 months 3 week mini lop, Caspar, has an obsession with digging. It’s so cute. But he has destroyed my carpet and will not use the cardboard dig box I made for him from Pinterest (that I spent 3 hours working on) lol. But I also saw on Pinterest that i can use rice for him to dig in? Or sand and soil? But I think rice would be safer for his health. He already has slight allergies as it is or it may be stress of not digging enough? I don’t know. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Here’s one I created for one of my bunnies in the past

It makes a mess, so be prepared, but it’s so fun to watch.  Not all my bunnies cared about digging in a diggy box,(notice Jack, the white bunny, just preferring to observe) but when they do, it’s hilarious to watch.  I have a diggy bunny right now, and need to make another one of these, but she loves to shred and move around paper towels (and that’s less messy than shredded paper) – she doesn’t eat it so it’s all good.

One idea to make it less messy is to create a diggy box within a box to help keep it contained.

One of our other forum leaders made a great diggy box out of a laundry basket — go to our DIY toy ideas – and scroll to the bottom once you are on that page. – https://binkybunny.com/BU…fault.aspx

Once you make your own, you will have to come back and share what worked!

Thanks so much. Sorry I thanked you so late! My computer got a virus and I had to get it fixed.
