I use a wire slicker brush most days. It doesn’t take out tons of fur, but it gets all the loose stuff.

I use a furminator a few times a week when he’s really shedding. It pulls out tons of hair! I’ve heard you can create bald spots by brushing too much in one area, but my bun doesn’t sit still long enough for me to do that. They are pretty expensive at the pet store, but you can usually find them on ebay pretty cheap.

Some people here also love the Hairbuster Comb – I haven’t tried it but I was thinking of looking for it at the pet store this week.

Hmm I have a furminator I am willing to part with.  I was thinking of putting it on ebay.  Well my buns sit still for their brushing I have them about waist height  a little higher and they don’t move           When I put them on the floor or something low to the floor  Cotton boxes the brush and Ruby jumps and runs off.

So I have had many opportunities to over groom and put a rash on Cotton.  So I do not want that furminator.

I must be doing something wrong with my Hairbuster. I got the small one (for cats) and it really doesn’t help with the bunnies’ fur. If anything, I worry I will scratch their skin with those tines.
It works great on the cats though. At least, the CAT who will allow me to brush her with it. 0_o
I like the product called the Love Glove (a white glove with red plastic/rubber ‘nubs’ on one side that you use as if you’re petting your bunny), which you can get at most pet stores or supermarkets. Very gentle and effective, if a little messy when it comes to cleaning it. (I use lint rollers.)
But if your bun has long fur, you’ll need something more comb-like.

It does take practice – you comb them like you’d comb thick short human hair – from the skin out rather than along the skin.  This lets the rubber kind of “grab” on to the loose fur and take it out.

This was my first session with it:

I like the furminator-but it only works on Rupert. The best best purchase I made was the slicker brush

There are many options of grooming tools depending on your rabbit’s fur type. Important is to choose one that is small enough so it can be used on all areas on the bunny with ease.
I use a boar bristle brush that I spray with water before brushing my regular-fur rabbit. These bristle brushes come in different stiffness; mine is the soft kind.
On my rexed rabbits I like using the rubber grooming brushes that grab loose hair by static.
For my angora mix I have a kitten slicker brush that has the ball ends on the pins. I cannot recommend regular slicker brushes that do not have the dull pins. They can cut a bunny’s skin easily.
I finish grooming my pets by buffing them off with a warm damp cloth.
