Does anyone have any favorite rugs for their bunny? I’ve been needing a new rug or two for my room for my bun, as I have hardwood flooring. Rugs can be pricey, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any rugs they like for a good price?

To be honest, I love bath mat rugs. They sell some nice bath rugs in IKEA. I use them for my bunny, and they seem to work beautifully for her hocks, and since they are machine washable, they’re easy to just pop into the washing machine. Try and Google IKEA mats, and maybe they’ll come up. Also, a lot of bunny owners use outdoor mats, because they’re easy to wash. You can never count on a bunny to be spotless! Lol. I have tiled floor, and I’ve been looking for area rugs for Binki’s feet too. 😀

P.S. About the price, memory foam bath mats are a little pricey, but I’m sure they’re affordable.

I have Vetbed mats for my rabbit. (Vetbed is a brand but there are other similar products). They are sold for dogs, but they’re very good for buns too. They’re anti-slip and soft and I’ve washed mine innumerable times.

Oh yeah. I also forgot to mention that bath mats have anti-slip too. And they’re pretty much made to get wet.

Yes, I have heard that IKEA bath mats are an excellent price and non-slip and you can hoover/machine wash them

If you’re looking for something larger than a bath mat, you could try a small low pile area rug. You often find them at big box home improvement stores for pretty cheap ($20 or so). They are often sold for college dorm rooms, etc.

I really like natural fiber (jute/seagrass/etc) rugs… they are a bit heavier than bath mats which I found he liked to drag about and also shred (digging and chewing). You can find them pretty reasonably priced in several stores, I think I got my 3×5 one for around $35 Amazon. I also like rag rugs, I thinks that’s what they are called. They aren’t really wash friendly… but I do spot clean and just hang in the sun. Here he is on one of the rag rugs as an example in case I got the name all wrong!
