So my boy Oscar is completely litter trained. He has one litter box which is based in his room (others were removed over six months ago as he would only use the one and would go back to his room to toilet).

There have been very few instances of scattered pooping, one or two out of the box, usually after being to visit family and away from our home. This goes after a few days at home.

Recently, Oscar has decided that he has a toilet in the living room. There have been instances where he has pooped on my long drapes (where he usually likes to lie – one of his favourite living room spots). This evening though he toileted there twice and on the second time he peed a huuuuuuge pee on them.

Why is he doing this and what can I do to stop it?

        Thank you in advance.

Most free-roam buns in large areas have a box in each room. So he likely decided he can’t be bothered going back to the main one.

Is it usually in the same area in the living room? Easiest would just be to put a box in that area.

Many bunnies pee on soft things, so if the drapes go onto the ground, they were probably irresistible. I would get the drapes off the floor (wash them with some vinegar too), clean the area well, and see if that helps. If not, add a box to that spot.
