Well I thought i was getting somewhere with Diesel with his litter training. But he coned me! Wednesday night he hopped around just in his tray and wee’ed without me telling him to do so. I popped upstairs to do a few things and when i came back, As massive wee puddle on the rugs, and since then its been open season and everytime i move is dropping into his tray he wee’s more he even drinks before coming out of his cage now! So I have put him back to stage one, only letting him out in the kitchen and when i am sat with him. But I have noticed something. I have a tiled floor in the kitchen and i put a rug down for him, he only wee’s on the rug not the floor, I try and stop him from weeing and he hops off then comes back onto the rug and trys a quick one this goes one until he has wee’ed but he wont go back into his house to his tray or go on the tiled floor only on the rug. Does anyone know why, Oh and yes i tried cutting some rug and putting it in the tray tis does not work.

I must add as well i have wooden flooring so i do but rugs down for him when he comes out so he gets a better grip when running and he goes on these too.

some bunnies really like marking on fabric. beds, rugs, couches, anything soft. if he *only* does this on the rugs, and he can navigate the hard floors, can you do without the rugs? or try a different, “less inviting” type of rug, like an indoor-outdoor/industrial carpeting that is not very plush?
