Recently got home from San Diego Bunnyfest 2008 hosted by the San Diego chapter of the HRS.
Here’s a small preview of what I saw today:
A very sweet Flemish Giant….

Some rescued wild buns…

A disapproving bumblebee…

A sleeping Marshmallow (she’s hiding so beautiful blue eyes)…

The most gorgeous pair of bonded blue-eyeds (Jack and Jill – they’re adoptable!)…

A baby bunny chowing down…

A curious wooly…

A lionhead X with some very familiar coloring…

A bunny kissing booth….

Cottontail Cottages being decorated by kids for shelter buns (the creator was there)….

…and so much more! The rest are here:

It was really hot, so Frankie stayed home, but he got lots of gifts!
Oh that looks like lots of fun! Great photos Rachel!
These are great! I just checked out the whole Photobucket shots – well worth it.
I’m jealous. I wish I could go to something like that. And Jack and Jill would come tumbling home with me.
Oh Lord, I swear I’ll never ask for another thing on this earth if you please let me have a HUGE mansion that I can keep all these bunnies in! *swoons*
I don’t know which ones I am more drawn to, the Flemmie, the bumblebee (did they actually paint his toenails blue??) or those blue eyed sweeties! *runs off to look at other photos*
Haha, I didn’t even notice the bumblebee bun had a pedicure! Must be patient (or extremely disapproving)!
They are all gorgeous. Thanks for sharing Rachel.
I want the blue eye ones and the baby! Those really are great pictures!
I’m thinking the blue things on the bumble-bunny might be those soft-claws things? They’re soft plastic claw coverings, I think originally designed for cats so that they don’t scratch the furniture etc. I know that you can get them in clear or a variety of colours.

you can ship to: Beka27 4044 Cla…
i will take all of them. i don’t think i’ve ever seen a blue-eyed bunny. i’ve seen gray eyes. do they have any kind of vision problems like the REs can?
and that FLEMISH! oh my word. i have back problems but i would insist on carrying him everywhere.
tell me… how do you not have more than Frankie bun? have you ever thought of a second?
That Flemish Giant! Wow. He/She is so beautiful! Who needs dogs when you can have a Flemish Giant! Can you imagine a theif trying to climb in a window and finding a Flemish standing there? hee heee!
Jack and Jill are so pretty!!!! To bad I’m not in Cali….
Thanks for the pictures! Had a mini bunfest all of my own looking at them all.
That little harlequin lionhead in that hat……….ahhhh! He/She and Frankie would make a stunning pair!
Haha – Beka. I love rabbits, but I don’t have my own place, so only one for now! I can almost guarantee I’ll have bunnies all my life, though!
But I am in love with Jack & Jill! I want them so bad… they’re gorgeous!
Love the blue eyed ones!!
I WISH we had something like that here…Maybe we’ll try to organize something like that with the rabbit club for next summer!! That looks like so much fun!
Annette, where do you find those soft claw things? I think I’d like to try some of those for my cats, and maybe the buns too.
Er… my skills at manipulating photos leaves a lot to be desired! You get the gist thou.

lolz…Gives new meaning to “Bewitched” doesn’t it? ^_^
Haha, jerseygirl, free time? Cute.
Hahaha those pics are so cute!![]()
MimzMum, I know they have a website – http://www.softclaws.com I think. The first time I ever saw them was on display at my vet’s office, and I think I’ve seen them in pet stores since then. I just checked the Petsmart website and they have them.

are those nail things ok? i mean do the cats mind?
lovely pics!
I’m so jealous I’m actually turning green! I go to horse expos like that all the time, and they are so much fun. I wish we had bunny ones around here.
I LOVE that giant! OMG, the blue eyes on those two…. How cheap is housing in your area, lol???
OMG, rescued wild buns! What does that mean? My first reaction was, “OOoooo! I want one!”
Then I thought about it and it would be really terrible if someone trapped the poor wild things and forced them to be captive pets…
What’s their story, Rachel? Do you know?
They’re so pretty, though…

Haha, LittlePuffyTail – I live in a very expensive area! Hahaha
Lightchick – the rescued wild bunnies were in her neighborhood being tormented by local pets and stuff… she saw one get hit by a car and she had just had it, and decided to taken in the other two. They’re pretty neat and each have opposite personalities (you can prob tell just from looking at the pic – one’s fiesty and one’s super laid-back)!
