up above under bunny info will be a roll down including diet try that and see.

I thought it was 6 months for greens.  I have given mine greens at 4 months though.  I found that the young ones were more prone to bladder sludge til they got older.   Depending on the green I fed them.  Then I skipped that green til they got older.

12 weeks   for greens   I went to houserabbitsociety.com and found this info there.    So feed away at 12 weeks greens.    Actually intro duce one at a time to see if a certain green upset the little tum tum.

Not 6 months but 12 weeks  or 3 months

Twelve weeks is usually when veggies are introduced to younger rabbits.  Although I think that some here have given them a little earlier than that but stuck with the “safer” veggies like parsely and lettuce.

Here is the guideline from the HRS:

Well I gave mom at our shelter some veggies last week (baby’s were six weeks) and the babies were snacking away on them incredibly. It was just parsley. I would think when they are eating solid food it’s OK but to be more careful with washing as they are smaller and pesticides/bacteria will likely have greater affects.

That being said, I’m not sure our babies are completely normal They were eating pellets at two weeks of age, and they are piggies!!-they eat three bowls of food (I’d guess about 2 cups of pellets) plus hay between mom and four babies in about one day!!

Wow K&K what a bunch of little piggies.   Yes I have given greens earlier than 3 months.  I couldn’t help myself.  When I noticed the sludgy type urine I stopped the parsley and cilantro for the young one.  Just gave romaine to her.

Now they eat  all those greens and Ruby seems to do fine now that she is older.  Thats not to say all babies will get sludge.  Most probably won’t.  Cotton never did.  You can try it and see.

I think the biggest concern is pesticides-they accumulate in the body fat, and as young babies that could be serious-wash the veggies very well!

I think greens are okay for babies – they are good for them. I think the 12 week wait is a bit old fashioned.

Yeah, I say 8 weeks b/c most people with baby buns don’t get them until 8 weeks (or they’re not SUPPOSED to). Eventually they’ll be getting 2-4 cups of veggies a day per bun, but you’ll want to start off slowly and with basic veggies, parsley and romaine are good for this. We just had another thread about pellets. They are supposed to be unlimited in baby buns, but I still recommend you measure so you have an idea of how much they eat in a day…
