So Pika managed to get into a room she isn’t supposed to run around in while I was reading a book, and I discovered that one of my amaryllis’ old dying leaves had a small (maybe half inch deep) nibble taken out of it. I’m not certain if it was actually Pika, but Cadbury hadn’t been in that room to the best of my knowledge, and the nibble definitely looked like rabbit tooth marks. I’ve been reading online and it looks like amaryllis is mildly poisonous. Should I call the vet or just keep an eye on her? It was a tiny amount, but she’s also a very small bunny.

The bulb contains higher concentrations of the toxin than the leaves or stem. I wouldn’t think a nibble on a dried up leaf will cause much harm. If your bunny was affected, you would probably know fairly quickly since it causes drooling and gastric upset. Honestly, I would just keep an eye.
