Bunnies don’t really enjoy being picked up, so don’t try to do that. They will end up just learning to fear you. If you need to transport them, the best way to do is by herding them into a litter box and carrying them where they need to go. The best thing you can do is just spend time with them at their level. Sit on the floor and watch TV or read a book and completely ignore them. Eventually their natural curiosity will take over and they’ll start exploring you. You can attempt to pet them by reaching your hand out (palm down), if they lower their head you can pet them for a few seconds and then stop. You don’t want them feeling overwhelmed. Some bunnies can take months to a year or longer to open up. It really depends on the bunny and their personality. Just be receptive to their body language. Don’t insist on petting them if they don’t like it. Some bunnies simply don’t enjoy being pet. Just take it slow and have patience and eventually they’ll open up
