I bought a female baby bun last week and she is 7 weeks old. I went back to another location and found another bun i just want to take home so badly. Any thoughts on introducing 2 female babies???

I would say it’s a bad idea… once they hit puberty, those hormones will take over and you’ll have a fight on your hands. Wait until your current little one is older and spayed, then bring in another spayed/neutered bun to bond with her

I would say fine, but you might want to keep them separated until they’re older and you can bond them properly, like monkeybun says

If you really want the new bunny, you can bring her home, but I agree about not introducing them until they are both spayed. There is a possibility that they may never get along and will need to be kept separate forever, so this is something to take into consideration.

If I were making the decision though, I would choose to stick with the one bunny for now and get to know her one on one. You can always get another down the road…

Bad idea. If she’s only 7 weeks old, you don’t even know the bun you have yet.

Well I ended up getting a second bun. they have been together a month now and do everything together. They will be spayed so lets home the bickering if and when it starts is minimal

I’ve had two intact females be best buddies, even helping one another with their litters.

I’ve had a spayed and an unspayed female best buddies.

So it’s not written in stone. If they are pals now, and see one another as sisters, they may not get territorial because they will see the space as “their” space.

no guarantees, but that has been my experience.

Just make sure they are both indeed girls! You don’t want an oops litter on your hands. If they are getting along okay now, then it is probably ok. Just keep in mind that they may need to be separated before they get spayed since hormones can cause them to fight. It can happen seemingly overnight too, so keep a very very close eye on them. I have heard many stories of bunnies being best buddies as babies, only to have then tearing each others’ fur out when they hit puberty.
