So I have made many posts about my foster Agnes, the 9 week old French Lop, who is currently being treated for Coccidia. Her meds finish on September 17th and she will be taken back into the vet for another health check, if all is well I was really hoping to move her out of my bedroom and into the dining room with my other two.

I question if it is okay to start pre-bonding her (cages side by side) while she is still a baby or is this going to hurt the bonding process after she is spayed?

Also, any advice on bonding trios? I find my female bun is territorial and goes a little bananas when a new bun is in her area, sometimes chasing her bond mate while she is upset. Any tips on fixing this?

        Thanks guys!

I don’t have personal experience with trio bonding, so I’ll leave that for right now, but you are correct that it’s best you wait until the baby is fixed (and healed for a minimum of one month) before doing bonding exercises.

We can’t really say for sure how they would get on, so it is safer to just wait. Introducing a third rabbit (especially one that is not spay/neutered!) can also cause the existing pair to fight. If you rush in too quickly, you might end up with 3 singles rather than a single and a pair!
