First time out of the nest today, I have a few pics and links to you tube.

The movie is a little better this time and you can see what I would call mini binkies LOL

The one that was the runt has a stripe down the back but no other markings.

They are just sooo wonderful, I am really enjoying watching them.

Oh Lisa, thanks! That was great! You’re such a good mum!  I have to say that that is an absolutely STUNNING cage & run set up! Did you do that yourself?

I like the you tube one where baby starts to scratch it self and looses it’s balance and rolls over. LOL

I have two hutches my husband has set up, mum can go from one to the other and also one has a running pen attached to it. I have attached fly wire all over to prevent mosquitos from getting in.

I raced out to buy it because I knew with mum and babies would need the room.

I am also going to set up my neat idea cubes inside; I am waiting for my husband to find the time to do it. He is on holidays next Monday so hope it will be done by then.

My son wants to change rooms so we are painting it for him and then the rabbits can go into the other one.

The baby I might keep will be the last one left I think, to me they are all cute but I guess the one left is the one other people don’t think is as cute as the others.

I am scared to give any away because you think they will have a good home but you really don’t know.

I know the home animals have here and not bragging but it really is a good home and I look after their needs 100%.

do you know yet how you’re going to go about finding homes?  have you talked to that vet recently… didn’t they say they’d help you out?  i would maybe see if the vet would be willing to post their pics in the office to see if anyone is interested.  it’d be great if you could set up forever homes before they’re ready to go out… so you don’t have to worry about separating them in time.

my goodness they’re cute! I do hope the vet will follow through on their promise and help you find homes for all the babies. It is really important to spend time and talk with people before adopting out the babies, since as you mentioned you never really know what a home is really like.

My friend owns a poodle rescue and she knows a lot of vets, she is going to ask around.

She is fussy on who she gives her rescued poodles to so I know she will look for good homes.

UPDATE I just spoke on the phone to a lady from The West Australian Rabbit Council.

I told her my story and she said when the babies are 7 weeks old to ring her back and if they get calls on people wanting rabbits she will give them my phone number.

I can give them to a new home when babies are 8 weeks or older but not before that (which I knew)

I think people that ring the council are looking into it more than if they just buy rabbits on a spare of the moment thing, like going to a pet shop.

That’s great Lisa! I think you’re right, someone who calls a rescue looking for an animal I think has done a bit more research and isn’t such and impulse buy like a pet store. Plus, most shelters have contracts to abide by.

Will you ship the little brown one to Florida, please?    Haha, so cute!
