When i was Christmas shopping i found this and flipped!  Its a handheld pizza cutter!  Had to buy it, then came home and made salad for the buns.  Worked great! I dont know every ones salad routine, but i make a huge bowl of salad that last 3 days.  Thats 12 servings, roughly 24 cups of salad.  I used to tear up heads of lettuce and parsley and such and that toke me at least 40 min. to wash, tear and mix everything.  I used this and it toke me 18 minutes (lol yes i timed it)!  I just put the whole head of lettuce on a cutting board, cut from one side of the brunch to the other in a few places, then once it was more of a neat pile instead of a head of lettuce i cut the other way.  Easy and i was just so impressed about the time thing i just had to share.  Not positive if this is a new idea but I was extremely excited about my new bunny related toy lol

Lol Rachel I dont think my buns would approve of bagged veggies, and i would think that would be so much more expensive lol

i want that pizza cutter! my favorite show is Good Eats with Alton Brown and he uses that cutter and i have not been able to find it ANYWHERE!

what brand is it? where did you get it?!

for salads, i just tear with my hands and then take it all for a spin in the salad spinner…

I have 3 of those plastic pizza cutters! But I didn’t buy any of them – got them at the career fair and from different on campus recruiters since they always hand out those free goodies. To cut my salad I have a plastic lettuce knife that does the trick real quick!

                  It looks like this:

bunnyliz – I live near the mexican border and there are a lot of hole-in-the-wall kinds of produce stores. There’s a particularly nice one near my house that sells the one pound bags of mix for $2.99… buying everything loose is like 49 cents – 99 cents a piece (and five for a dollar parsley!) so it works out about the same but with less effort
