  I am sondering if anyone has used those automatic litter box cleaners, either the ones that move and scoop themselves or the kind you roll for their pet rabbit? I have been trying different options starting with a regular litter pan with Yesterday’s News and then moved to a corner one with a grate (cause my rabbit LOVES digging and making a MESS), but I don’t think she’s much enjoying the smaller space of the corner version (and we have the big one) or the inability to always grab her cecals. So, I was wondering if anyone’s used one of the automatic ones, particularly the kind you roll, with Yesterday’s News and do they work for the poo pellets? I was thinking the roll kind would allow her to still get to her cecals, have plenty of room and even dig a little if she wanted without making a huge mess but still be able to clean it effectively, but I am not sure if the grates are small enough to grab those poo pellets. I would still change the litter completely every week or more for the urine, but just want to find a happy middle for her.

  I don’t know of anyone here that uses those. They really only work well for cat litter since the grain is so small. Everyone here pretty much uses carefresh, yesterdays news, aspen shavings or woodstove pellets, maybe just newspaper and hay or variations of that. Those scoopers wouldn’t work on anything like that because of how different in shape they are compared to what you would be sifting out with a cat and how small grain cat litter is.

  Lintini’s right, and I don’t know of anyone who’s using one.
  
  You might consider the screen BB sells in her store that goes over the top of the litter box. I think it’s designed to keep the mess in, while not hurting the bunny’s feet. Check it out as an alternative option.

  EHhhhh I wouldn’t even recommend them for cats…I’ve had a few friends with them. And you know that ‘yuck’ in the bottom of the box…well that ends up on the sides, and the rake. Disgusting. Plus when it gets really yuck you wouldn’t want to throw it out. I love just dumjping the box, and after a while…turfing it.
