I don’t know if anyone is a part of Zootoo.com or not but I thought I’d share this with all of you. This is a news report about  "A bill was introduced to Australia’s state government this week that seeks to outlaw cat and dog sales in pet stores." I think this would be awesome for the US as well and to help with puppy mills, I think they should add rabbits too.  I went to a big chain petstore Petland that just opened up in a high spenders area and they had 15!! yes 15 "dwarf" bunnies in this area maybe 3×3 no more than 4×4. They were so adorable but I just felt soo bad for the bunnies at the shelters and rescues that could of had a home.  But anyways here is the link to the news article if you would like to read it.

It’s funny you send this now because I just mentioned this (that pet shops should not sell animals) on another forum!  That’s great news!  Whenever I go into a pet store I get so angry seeing all the kittens, puppies and bunnies etc in there.  The store down the street from me still has this adorable little white  lop who is getter bigger and bigger and of course the cage is still the same size.  He’s been there for 7 months and it just kills me to see him still there. I just can’t stand it!

I want to say one might be sick, it had nose crusties, do you think there’s a problem?
But they were so cute but exactly why they’re bought on impulse. Does anyone know if they have to be a cettain age to sell rabbits, like dogs and cats? They had a mix of different kinds there all the same size they had a bunch iwth the Harlequin colors, I just think that mix is so unusually pretty (all buns are of course but it’s just different).

Also I was thinking if Pet stores wont stop selling animals over here if maybe it could change to where all animals have to be spayed and nuetered first before selling, atleast that will help in some way with accidentle babies.

That is great. I wish Canada would do something like that. I hate how petstores prey on impulse buyers. I also hate how most petstores hire staff even if they have very little animal knowledge and experience. You need to know about cars if your gonna be a car salesman right?
