Tonks was already having some littler box issues but was getting better.  Well I brought the new Bun home and whewwwwww Tonks is not hardly pooping in her box at all now!! She’s even peed outside it last night! Do you think its just cuz of the new bun and it will die down?? Should I let her out to run around while she is being a bad bun? She’s in a xpen so its not like she’s in a small space. Poor Tonks I guss she’s all stressed out with a new bun in the house! I pray that the poop explosion dies down!!!!

It’s definitely the new bun. It sould die down over time.

Really just about anything new can cause a poop war. I know when my boyf comes down to visit there is more poo in the corners of my house and under tables than there is in his litter box… Buns are very territorial.

it absolutely should decrease after awhile (or it might not until after they are bonded). continue to pick them up often, at least daily. when you start switching pens, you might see more marking between the two of them, but it’s all a part of the process and is, fortunately, short-lived.

When we brought Rupert home, Kahlua promptly ran over to his pen, chomped his nose, and peed all around the perimeter LOL
