        Hi all!

Time for another “what in the @$%#$ was that?!” question!

I have a 5 month old female who has lived inside with my dog since she was 5 weeks old.  Over the last month I’ve noticed she and the dog getting…closer.  Mainly she wants to get close to the dog and the dog doesn’t *always* push her away.  Her “free hopping” time is always supervised, so I was never too worried.

Then just yesterday I noticed them both on the couch, and everytime the dog’s tail would wag the bunny would pounce it.  How cute, right?

Then TODAY (haha), I heard a play growling and went to check, and found both the dog and the bunny on the floor, and the bunny was running after the dog, jumping and head butting her–and when the dog would shove her away she would turn around and come right back for more.

My dog is gentle with her, to a point–up until now they have for the most part left each other alone outside of random encounters.  I’m not sure what to think about this…were they playing, or are her hormones kicking in, or is it territorial, or…

I hadn’t planned on taking her into be spayed until next month.

        Thanks in advance!!!

PS – I’ve also seen her running after the cats to cuddle.

Sounds like Ella’s turning into a luv bunny. One of mine developed crushes on all 3 cats and a fuzzy bath robe before we got her spayed. We have one member who sacrificed her furry slippers to her bunny’s affection if you know what I mean

I have no advice to offer (my dog’s too intimidated by the bunnies to even come in the house anymore). I don’t know how you tell a determined bunny that the dog’s tired of playing ;-0

Haha I can just picture a bunny chasing a dog’s tail, sounds cute!

Yup, Archie loved his furry friends!  He used to come up to them and start humping my feet   They stayed with him until we got Gracie but now they’re back to me…well I still have to clean them off

I would love to see that bunny playing with the dog and cat. I can’t even imagine how that would be. The seem to be okay with each other, I would just continue to supervise. My one female got pretty mean to me and my husband before I got her fixed. I think mine girl was older than they told me when I got her and so she got fixed when she was maybe like 8 or 10 months old instead of at 6 months. She did really calm down after she was fixed too (after hormones subsided). A dog and bun…gosh that sounds so cute.
