So Lola is just getting back to her “norm” after spending 9 days at her grandparents….she was very (VERY) slowly getting back to normal and on top of that has been shedding a TON with very small poos compared to her normal. Last night I gave her a little plastic bowl with extra water in it to give her some other drinking options in her condo other than the bottle to make sure she was staying hydrated to help with all the fur I know she is ingesting —- I woke up this morning and about a 2×1 inch square was missing….with no pieces in site. She hasn’t ate her pellets but has been eating veggies (she’s had two cups of kale, red leaf lettuce, and cilantro mix with a banana piece). Also, she normally doesn’t like her belly touched but will tolerate it….when I was rubbing her this evening she lunged at me and put her teeth on my forearm (not a bite it just seemed like a warning) – for the first time ever! She’s never, ever shown any sign of aggression before.
I keep reading on the forum that other people’s buns have ingested things they shouldn’t — and Lola has swallowed a TV remote button in the past as well as consumed her fair share of Carefresh bedding — but am I being way overly concerned? Is this just a little too much happening in one week (being back home, eating things she shouldn’t, her first big shed, etc.) that she might be acting funny? She IS eating her veggies and has pooed and peed a little (I emptied her litter box this morning so I could tell) but it’s just not as much as normal…
