Hi all – I’ve read that the personality of a bunny can change a lot between childhood/the teenage period and adulthood, though I was curious at what age their personality can be considered “established” where it’s not going to change further. I’m curious specifically about lionheads.

        Thanks

I don’t have lionheads, and in general every bunny is different and different factors help to establish personality (if they’ve been neutered or not). That being said, my boys were pretty much done with personality shifts at 8-10 months. Both have been neutered. Bombur has always been very chilled and laid back, but he also has a scaredy bun side. Asriel went from being antisocial and timid constantly to exploring everyone and everything and hopping in laps for all the attention.

My lionhead is the friendliest little guy ever. He’s now about 7/8 months I think. As a baby, he would sit and snuggle for hours, and lick me constantly.

He’s stayed very very friendly, but he doesn’t chill out with me so much anymore. So he’ll hop over, give me a lick, then go back to doing his bunny thing. He never really calms down, so perhaps he’ll get calmer with age.

My rabbits will be 2 in August and I would say my female’s personality has pretty much been the same since she was a baby. My boy however, his personality has really blossomed over the last 6 months. He’s much cheekier and more confident.
