        Hey guys!

A local rabbit rescue has these great looking dried herb mixes/hay toppers on their shop but I just wanted to check if everything in them is safe. The rescue is great, and I would assume all their ingredients are safe for the buns, but I’m a big time worry-wort so I just wanted to double check if the following herbs/flowers are safe:

Plantain, Peppermint, Nettles, Raspberry Leaf, Lemon Balm, Fenugreek, Cleavers, Calendula, Wheatgrass, Milk Thistle, Fenugreek Leaves, Rose Petals, Linden leaf and Flower, Arugula and Seedless Rose Hips.

Also are Pea Flakes and Oat tops okay in moderation?

        Thanks so much guys!

            Yes

And dried pea flakes – no. Fresh snow peas are OK.

Oat tops (seed heads) – yes.

Okay thank you! I thought so about the pea flakes but got confused because I heard fresh peas were okay.

Yeah, it’s just snow peas (i.e. the flat pea pods).

The only herb of those you have listed I haven’t fed, is fenugreek. It is most likely fine in small amounts.

Dried peas are not recommended and not dried corn kernels. Oat seed heads are somewhat rich, but often highly appreciated and not too hard on the tummy.

Fenugreek is good, but should be fed in moderation as it’s actually used as an appetite stimulant in humans (and small animals),  and can help with weight gain in skinny rabbits.
