So, I was in Petsmart yesterday buying a couple of fresh packages of Simple Rewards treats for Panda and Fernando, and I saw what looks like a new variety of Oxbow adult-rabbit pellets next to the regular adult bun pellets. It’s called “Garden Select”, and the main difference seems to be that it doesn’t have molasses and has oat and orchard grass as ingredients in addition to timothy grass along with oat hulls, whole barley, whole yellow peas, tomato pomace, rosemary and thyme. It’s also a bit more expensive than the regular pellets. Worth giving a try or not?

EDIT: This actually appears to be the replacement for Natural Science pellets, which appear to have been discontinued.

That is a replacement for the Natural Science pellets. They removed the molasses and soy, but all or most of the other ingredients are the same. I use it, but not exclusively since it is more expensive. I just add a little to the Oxbow Essentials that my rabbits get. I figure that it gives them a little bit more flavors or different flavors and maybe some extra nutrition. In any case, they enjoy it.

We had a bag of Benne Terra Organic from Oxbow – also more flavours – and Chewie adored it.
But he only gets a tiny bit of pellets each day (2 tsp total now) so even expensive went a long way.

I’ve been feeding my buns the garden select pellets for at least 6 months now and they love them!! if you’re willing to pay the extra expenses, I would say go for it!! As soon as you open the bag you can smell the veggies and herbs, it’s a hit with my rabbits!!

Sounds good, I was originally using the Natural Science ones.

I wish Pet Supplies Plus had it, they generally have the cheapest prices on Oxbow rabbit food ($14.99 for 5-lb. bag of Essentials adult). Guess I’ll have to go back to Petsmart or Petco and see what kind of discount I can get with a member card; I’m about halfway through the current bag of Essentials so I’ll need to restock in a couple of weeks anyway.
