  Heffie and I live here on Oahu and I wondered if there are any other Bunny Parents out there on the island. It would be nice to have someone to share house bunny suggestions and ideas with. We don’t have an HRS chapter on the island and it doesn’t seem like there are very many of us who have house rabbits as pets. Thanks everyone!

  I used to visit Kailua every summer for about 15 years to my grandparents house.
  
  There is a member from hawaii here…I think her name Alohabuns, or something with Aloha in it. I haven’t seen her post for a bit now or maybe I’ve just completely missed her posts. I think she’s on Oahu too.

  I wish I lived in Hawaii! I actually joke with my husband that we’re going to move there and be homeless on the beach. But I guess that wouldn’t be good if we have buns. =p

  Cool! I dont live there but my sis inlaw has a ton of cousins and relatives that live on Oahu! its beautiful there! I saw pictures of when they went to the “nu u anu pali” park Im sure that was the name of it but Im sure I butchered the spelling! lol

  Thanks everyone! If you do ever visit, let me know! It’s a to be stationed here, but bunny vet care, info, and supplies are hard to come by if you don’t know where to look! Perfect spelling too, puddle jumper! 😉

  That’s awesome Roxy! My grandmother had 5 macaws, 1 lesser macaw, 1 double yellow head amazon, and one african grey parrot, and she had a heck of a time finding an exotic vet for them on Oahu.

  Lintini, yes it has been difficult. I finally found a vet I feel comfortable with that’s even near my neighborhood and she’s been very good with Heffie. The Humane Society uses their own vet that doesn’t see outside patients and a lot of the vets here won’t touch small animals. I’d love any insider information for supplies and whatnot. I’m glad your grandmother was able to find someone for her birds. I know there aren’t a lot of vets that see birds either.

  Interesting little trivia Britt, The Rabbit Advocates here in Portland were asked if they wanted to become a chapter of the HRS, but they said no
