Anyone else hate this time of year? Apart from the weather (which i love as i hate it in the summer when it gets too hot) everything else is crappy, as if everything comes at once? my exams are always in may-june, i also have my second driving exam, i am really trying to loose weight before summer hits, i just got daxter so im having to put the hours in there, im trying to get a job sorted for summer, i have to sort my fundings out for next year at uni as everything is changing so i have millions of forms to fill in, i am really skint >.< and i hate this time of year everything always seems to happen at this time of year and i always feel rushed and annoyed.. anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

i know im ranting but had to let of some steam because, although im in a good mood, i feel very tired and stressed!

and thought i would add a picture of daxter for the heck of it and the second pic made me laugh sooo much so thought it might make someone smile today hehe

lolz…PEEEK-AAAHHH-BOOOOO! ^_^ That is one adorable bun you have there! Oh what a classic snap that is! Made my day!

Yes this time of year is always crazy for me too, as I homeschooled my kids and they would drag their feet around this time in particular (it’s like senioritis all over again) My son is attending University this fall and just getting him to get applied for classes and such is a real pain, plus he still has high school credits to finish.
I think it’s just that way for some young people. My mother was very ill during the end of my senior year and I left school to be with her and took classes from home to finish. But I still managed to graduate with half a credit less than I was supposed to. But I just wanted to get it done and over with.
I wonder if this is why the fiscal year becomes so dismal every year at this time and just goes downhill from there? Who has time to shop when there’s so many deadlines hitting you all at once? ^_^

yes i think so, i was actually studying this in my accounts course, but i find that – seeing as i dont get on with my family and i have been on my own since i was practically 15 – this time of year is always mad, waiting for summer to come and the holidays i think makes it worse but blergh i want a break >.<

I know what you mean. We’ve still got snow and cold weather here and May hits in a week?? Gee whiz, open a can of sunshine already! >_<
When I first came to Alaska, it snowed on Memorial Day (end of May). I almost went straight back to California!
I know my bunnies are ready to get their fresh grass and dandelions too, and they can’t come up till this stops. We get cooped up all winter in this kind of weather. So we are all extremely barn sour.

actually i would rather the cold weather *blush* i love the snuggly coldness but the sticky sun annoys me, it makes all small tasks harder and gets in the way hehe, we had snow the other day which is rare for england full stop nevermind in april! i prefer october and march kind of weather, i wish i lived in alaska!

I’ve been here for 13 years now. I don’t think I’d go back to California if I could, it’s so expensive now and people are packing in like sardines. But with fuel costs the way they are these days, it’s getting harder to keep money in the bank here too. *sigh*
The only thing I really don’t like about summer here (midnight sun is a great thing) are the mozzies. I could SO live without those! *SWAT!*
We’ve had a few summers that sparked great forest fires around us too. It’s no fun having to put your precious things in the car and have the animal carriers ready to go at a moments notice. (We live right on the edge of a National Forest.) So I’m just as good with it raining all summer if need be, which it will from time to time.
I miss the fog though. I’m from the Bay Area (San Francisco) and the fog there is always so comforting. We often don’t see fog here till fall and then you know the snow is days away.

                      K&D,
I’d like to add a little ray of hope. I remember very well hating the end of school year crunch, and the beginning of the year nerves. I was so totally stressed about my finals during Junior & Senior years (college, high school, pick either) and it just got me so down.

Then after working a few years I discovered that the world (that wasn’t teaching for a profession) did not run on that calendar! What a relief! It was so much fun having the same work, the same deadlines, heck even some extra free time because the weather got nicer and people started taking vacation time. I couldn’t believe it. They just didn’t care if it was April 29th, May 16th or June 11th. No difference for many, many professions. What they had were their own time lines and deadlines, but it was never a rut like the school work. So, once you get through all of this it will seem easy in comparison. Even the fast paced jobs.

That is very sad. I’ve wanted to visit the UK very much, along with Japan. But between terrorism and money worries I don’t think anyone can afford to travel or relocate unless they are millionaires.
I am very fortunate here though. Gardens grow like crazy during the summer here, so one can put up quite a bit of food for winter, and if one hunts, even more. Plus I have my own home and five acres here. We got quite a deal on it all those years ago.
But yes, you can’t throw a rock without hitting a for sale sign and most of them go down as quickly as up. I don’t believe there are any homes available in my area now for less than $300K US. (And little places with no indoor plumbing are going for no less than $120K, even with the housing slump.)

                                **hugs K&D***

This time of year is the same for me, even not having exams this year!! Two of my buns are molting (I literally pick fur out of my eyes daily), work is getting really really busy (shut down time for all the refineries/upgraders), it’s time to renew my car registration, and spring clean… ugh!!

K&D I feel your pain! I was always super stressed out around this time of year when I was in school. Then once I graduated I started going on vacation at the end of April, a nice little treat after a dreary winter – but this year I’m missing out on my fun and sun filled vacation and it’s making me CRANKY! hang in there and good luck with your exams !!!!
