I live in a little apartment with my two bunnies Thumper and Charlie while I’m in law school. I give them free range will I am home and they have a pretty comfortably sized pen for when I am away. However, I remember how much fun they used to have on grass when I lived in a house and I am wanting to simulate that again. I have a small balcony that I can bunny proof (there is a gap they could get through but I would add some fencing), and I am wanting to have a grass patch for them to play on/eat when I let them out. Problem is I am extremely busy and have absolutely zero gardening skills, so I’m thinking of buying some “fresh patch” grass that is advertised towards dogs (although they have also advertised the “mini” for cats and rabbits.)

The grass contains rye, blue, fescue, zoysia and bermuda and is grown hydroponically. Would this be harmful for my rabbits to eat? Or are there any other easy alternatives?

Rye, blue, fescue and Bermuda are all grasses rabbits can eat. I had to look up zoysia because I’d never heard of it, and it seems very popular with rabbits.

So I think your buns will be pleased
