I’m looking for fun toys for my buns, things to chew on mostly, to add variety. I already give them apple wood from my yard, pinecones, chewing blocks (kiln dried pine) and toilet paper tubes. I was at petsmart and saw they had gotten in a shipment of new and exciting looking toys in the small pet section, but I’m concerned about the type of wood used (packaging doesn’t say) and whether loofa material is actually safe for them to have (I don’t think it sounds good for tummies).

Does anyone actually know what these toys are made of? Even the wooden bird toys didn’t specify. Has anyone tried these toys and have some they like and think are safe?

I’ll cruise the forum and look for other good things to try, I love surprising them with new stuff!

I wouldn’t give my bunnies something I didn’t know, especially somthing with that name. You can make some many different toys yourself! All you need is things your bunnies can eat like cardboard, paper(no ink!), paper towel/toilet paper tubes, wood or sticks.

Have you looked at the toys in the store section here at Binky Bunny? https://store.binkybunny.com/toys–chews-c2.aspx

I’ve used almost all of the toys from that range, not for a rabbit (getting my first one in the summer), but I’ve used the seagrass huts for hamsters, the glass bottles and treats for micro-squirrels, and all their birds hanging toys and small pets toys for other smallies including Degus and gerbils, who are avid chewers. I’ve not seen any negative effects, though the red coloured wood did stain the microsquirells fur around the mouth for an hour or so after chewing (the salivate all over their chews so it’s not too unusual)
