We had a young bunny died yesterday, very sad for our family. We are new to pet bunny.

we kept her indoor in a cage put in our living room. Inside the cage has hay all covered. We live in Adelaide July and August is the coldest month around 10c at night. We don’t have heater on at night, so was wondering if young bunny still feel cold ?

the pet shop will give us another bunny as replacement, but I want to learn more before getting a new one.

Any advices any extra care for indoor bunny in winter ? Many Thanks

highly recommend reading over the information we have in the RABBIT INFO section of this website — it will give you a necessary overview of good rabbit care practices.

I think covering the cage with a blanket or something to insulate it would be helpful.

Would the rabbit always stay in a cage in the living? Will it have time to roam in a larger pen?

Hmm… I’m going to guess that the temperature wasn’t the problem. Unless it was a very young bunny, of course. There may have been something else wrong with the bunny. If you feel it is a little chilly, then you can provide a house with hay or a blanket.
