Hello, Coconut is about 10/11 weeks now.  I noticed he’s growing pretty quickly although his cute little head is still pretty small.  Is this normal? I’ve seen other hollands with huge heads??

I think Leopold’s head is perfectly proportioned to his body. =)

False dwarfs, females, and neutered males tend to have smaller heads. Also, all members of a breed will look slightly different, so having a small head could just be a trait he was born with, as some are born with ears that don’t lop fully, or bodies that aren’t the “perfect” shape.

Otto has a small head. I think he’s a false dwarf, which is some of the reason, and he was neutered at 5 months so his head probably didn’t grow much after that.

Thanks Elrohwen! Thanks great information! Maybe I should wait a little bit before getting him neutered so he his head will grow a little bit more! LOL!

judging by the pictures you first posted of him his head looks similar in size to my holland at his age (mine is 7 weeks now), and I know that Cinnabun is showing good head standards. I know that bunnies go through an awkward teen age stage where their proportions can be off, if you think that he is miss proportioned that could be what is going on. When I was looking for my holland I saw a 8 week old female with HUGE ears, but at the same place I saw an adult buck with tiny ears so you never know, but as long as you love him does it really matter?

Squirrel’s head was smaller too at that age. he has since grown a bit At 10-11 weeks, he’s still too young to be getting neutered, so in the next couple months he could grow alot more.
