I have been watching him very carefully and he has not touched his hay in 24 hours.  He eats his veggies and pellets though.  I think he just doesn’t like Timothy hay.  I have not been able to get to the store or to our friends farm to try other hays yet.  I didn’t know if there is anything else I can try to incourage him to eat it.

He won’t eat it out of the bag.  Mixing treats and veggies doesn’t work either.  He doesn’t like toilet papaer roll with or without hay!   I’ve been tempted to rub apple slices on it.  I know he loves those!

I know grass hay is the best for him.  I was reading the House Rabbit Handbook last night and noticed that it said Alfalfa is better than no hay at all.  I’m wondering, as a last resort, if he won’t eat the orchard or other grass hay ifI should try this.  I know how important hay is for a rabbit.  I just got his Timmy pellets today too.  Hopefully he eats those.  He usually gobbles up his pellets

Thanks again for all the advice.

I would try orchard hay next but don’t give up on the timothy. Maybe you will need to try different cuttings.

I will definitely try every other possible kind before I would resort to it. I would never want him to have health problems. I will try to get to Petsmart tonight or tomorrow to get him some orchard hay.
