› FORUM › THE LOUNGE › Another Bunny? (((Met some bunnies!!!!!)))
So, Bindi has been dealing well with Olivia being gone. I was worried. They were not bonded but spent the last few years living side by side in condos.
I’m still very much missing her. However, I feel like I may be ready to adopt another. There is a little 6 year old boy at my local shelter that I am interested in possibly getting. What do you guys think about trying to bond him to Bindi? (Not sure if I would get this exact guy…I need my husband to agree, which may take time due to Bindi’s vet bills…..and my application at the SPCA needs to be approved and they won’t hold animals).
With Bindi’s problems and age, (he’s 9 has chronic dental and ear issues, past EC amongst other things) do you think it would be too much stress on him? Im quite confident he would like a friend. He was always so eager to try to spend time near Olivia. And right before Stormy passed away, I had them bonded to the point they could hang out for several hours. I know he would benefit greatly from a friend, especially since he really can’t groom himself.
I’m just worried about his age mostly. He’s really used to his routine. I don’t want to stress him out or upset him. Although, he is a fairly easy going guy.
I would be okay keeping them seperate if they are unable to bond but this would probably result in Bindi getting less out-time.
Really stuck here. And I just feel like I should get another because I want so very much to help bunnies in need. And I feel bad for this little bunny, being 6 and getting dumped in a shelter. I like the idea of them each having a bun friend to grow old with.
Okay, I got excited when read your thread title and did a mental Yes! *fist pump*. Lol
I’m biased. I would very much like you to get another bunny. Was hoping you would.
If not this boy, then some other bun will be lucky to find a forever home with you. Though I do hope everything works in your favour to adopt this one. Be great for an older bun to get a home.
I think you’re in tune enough (especially to Bindi) to know when bonding process is causing adverse affects. You just can’t know how it’d go until you try.
I dearly hope you’d see an instant bond though.
As to living side by side, I can only see benefits in that for both bunnies if that’s the way it goes.
Sorry, hopefully others will have more well-rounded opinions to share. I just want you to get that bunny. Was that obvious?
What a tough decision. I know that it’s a decision we can’t make for you, Bindi’s health issues and age are certainly a concern. I suppose my main worry in that regard would be that the stress brought on by introducing a new rabbit may result in a recurrence of EC. That being said, it may not stress Bindi out very much to have a new rabbit introduced.
Doing what is best for Bindi is the obvious choice, but I understand it’s tough to know what that is. Is his reduced free roam time if you can’t bond them a concern? Would it be too little time for him to be out? Is Bindi fairly fit and healthy apart from the dental and ear issues? On the chance that his EC flared up again from the stress, is he likely to be able to overcome it?
Sending good bunny vibes your way.
Edit: And yes jerseygirl, I want her to get the other bunny too! We all know that a 6 year old bunny definitely needs a good home, not everyone wants to adopt a middle-aged bunn.
It’s exciting, but definitely thinking about Bindi comes first.
Does Bindi do okay going for rides in the car? If so, you could always take him to meet this bunny.
Jersey- Thanks for your input and enthusiasm!
I’m also hoping it would be a very instant bond. Or at least not a long-drawn process.
Azerane. Thanks for your input as well. Bindi is fairly healthy otherwise. He eats well and is still quite active. Even the odd binky here and there. If he was any of my past bunnies, I would not even be considering a bond. But BIndi is a pretty easy-going guy. He has been through a lot of health situations where we thought we were going to lose him and always bounced back. He is really a trooper. My vet never tested for EC but it was suspected and the treatment worked. But like I said, he is a very easy going guy and if this new bunny is as well, I think he would be okay.
LBJ10- Bindi is used to the car but I don’t think bringing him to the SPCA would be a good idea. The rabbits are housed in the cat room and it’s super loud in there from the meowing. I’m not even sure my SPCA allows this because it’s bringing an animal in that they have no idea if they are carrying any diseases or anything. Also, I would want to quarantine the new bunny for a couple of weeks in another area of the house before they meet as a precaution.
I am all in favor of you adopting a new bunny. I wanted to ask you if you would consider it, but was afraid it was too soon to bring it up, so I,m delighted that you asked.
Since I lost Sammy at 6 years old I forget that it is still middle aged for most bunnies.
I would suggest asking shelters for another laid back bunny, even a young one, for the best chance of low stress for Bindi. He should get his free time more than a new one, who can adapt to the set up you provide. A large habitat will reduce the stress of confinement for any new bun.
If you think this boy is a good match for Bindi, that,s great. I would prefer a bunny in very good health for a friend to him, whatever the age.
Yes, go for it!
P.s. get a bunny that will baby sit dollies.
I wonder if the doll was meant to keep Binndi company? Your baby has a say in the matter, too. ![]()
I love the idea of you getting another bunny. There couldn’t be a better home for a bunny (or any animal). But what’s best for Bindi is of course what matters most. There would be some initial stress, but if they bonded well, his immune system could get a boost.
I have way too little bonding-experience to be able to give you any useful input. Just wanted to say that a bunny that gets adopted by you is a tremendously lucky bunny.
LPT – I know its all about characters and not sex (or sexes?! lol) for rabbits, but Olivia was a girlie and this is a boy… – has this boy at 6 been bonded before ?
They’re the only differences I can see in your story between then and now… If you feel it – go for it – and as Jersey said, if they can’t be bonded, they could always live happily side by side which is pretty comforting too…. isn’t it?
You wanted our opinions? Or confirmations of what you’d already decided in your heart of hearts ?!! LOL
Thanks, Pam. Yes, I will definitely want to meet the bunny beforehand to make sure he seems laid back. Hard to tell in a noisy place like a shelter but maybe there will be some indication. Normally the City shelter has a few bunnies but when I was looking it was just the one guy. Today they listed a new one, also male, but no age indicated. After I get approved (and if Ricky agrees…) I will go take a visit to see the bunnies. If there are only 2 gonna be so hard to choose just 1. The shelter makes me so sad. I used to volunteer there a few years ago and spend time with the bunnies.
Not sure about the dolly, lol. She likes to give them presents. Olivia used to get the most stuff. Stickers and little toys. She likes to share her pacifiers with the bunnies and Sniffles (our rat). Today she was helping me fold the laundry and later I found a pair of my husband’s underwear in Sniffle’s cage. She’s very giving……
bam- Thanks so much. Appreciate it
Vienna- I have no idea if that bun has been bonded before or why he is at the shelter. I will try to get as much info before making my decision. And yes, my heart really wants another. I have a reputation to keep up. Hard to be a “Crazy Bunny Lady” with only 1 bunny!
I just really want to put lots of thought into this. I don’t want to get another and have a lengthy stressful bond on my hands. I don’t have the time for that nor would I put Bindi through that. As for living side by side, I like that idea but not sure how Bindi would feel giving up his now double wide condo. I just made an opening in Olivia’s and his condos and now he has both. I wish I wouldn’t have done that because if I get another, I really don’t have enough room without making Bindi’s smaller again. I just wish I could ask Bindi what he would prefer….sigh
On a happy note, as I type this he’s running around the living room and just did 3 binkies. ![]()
ROFLMAO the undies
LPT – From the details you provided, you have a resounding Yes! from me. Bindi would benefit from a friend in his later years as long as the bonding doesn’t stress him unnecessarily. But I could also be projecting my desperate desire to have a pal for Chewie the loner.
So Ricky and I are still in the “negotiating” phase. It’s kind of a big decision because we’ve had a lot of high maintenance pets thus resulting in pretty large vet bills over the years. Right now we only have the one very expensive rabbit, 1 cat, 1 rat and a horse who pretty much eats money.
No word from the SPCA yet.
Even if all is yes, I’m not 100% sure yet. While my heart really wants another bun to love and spoil, I want to make sure I’m doing the right thing for me and Bindi.
Hopefully everything works out well. ![]()
Okay, so just an update. Still waiting to hear from the SPCA. Taking frustratingly long. The first application I submitted, I waited over a week and heard nothing so I e-mailed. They didn’t get it for some reason. Online glitch or something. So I sent another, and finally I heard from my references on Sunday that they’ve been contacted and they all said wonderful things about me. So I know that I will be approved, but still haven’t gotten a call back yet.
Ricky grudgingly agreed. Basically, he said I’m too strong willed for him to stop me from getting another bunny. Good enough for me!
He wants us to wait till our downstairs is cleaned up and we do some re-arranging first because the new bun will have to be down there for a week or 2 for quarantine. Yeah….that’s probably not gonna happen…..since that will take forever. Nothing gets done in this house.
Tomorrow morning, I’m going to the SPCA to inquire about the status of my application and to hopefully meet some bunnies.
How crazy exciting, LPT! Yay!!
![]()
I can post Henry to you….. LOL! xo
I’ll pay the shipping!!!!!! ![]()
Yayyyyy. I realise the SPCAs around the world must be busy…. but the quicker they validate someone BRILL like you the quicker they can rehome animals….. I wld think that was obvious !!
A prog on UK tele the other day (Vet on the Hill) was looking for A guineapig for a bday pressie for one Sister of three…. and they went to a rescue centre (yay!) and rehomed THREE piggy sisters at once (triple YAY!!!)
Great advertisement for rehoming rather than buying !!!!!
![]()
That is great, Vienna!
I miss Hagrid. Chewie does too – he’s been less exuberant since his wee partner in crime left us. ![]()
LOL LPT, you may regret it, ha ha ha! I can not believe I am admitting this…. I had to shut Henry away for a guy to quote on our ensuite bathroom (remember, he’s a secret) and the little bugga squeezed his BIG head and FAT arse through a 5cm gap to get out – GASP!!! He will NOT be locked up! ’10 minutes’!!! I just wanted him hidden for 10 minutes – NOPE!
MORE??? Poor Sam, our dog who just turned 16…. she is weeing and pooping inside at night and I can’t do wee and poo on the floor (yes everyone, I am that horrible!) so I thought I was clever and blocked her into a corner to sleep at night next to the bed (I would take her out to toilet) till I realised that that Henry had full access to her from under the bed. Poor old girl is being harassed by a bunny!
TAKE HIM!!! I’LL PAY the POSTAGE!
Awww…..that’s great Vienna.
Haha! Henri……book him a flight…I”ll meet him at the airport.![]()
So I went to the shelter and the receptionist said she was just about to call me. I’m approved. Obviously.
I met the two bunnies that were there. And I love them both but have pros and cons for both and really need help now! While I’m deciding, they may get new bunnies in but for now, these are the 2 I met. Need opinions! So hard to decide the best candidate.
LittleBunny- This is the little senior (6 years) I was originally interested in. He’s a very stunning BEW small nethie or nethie mix. He was owned by a man who had to surrender him due to health reasons (the man’s health). He’s neutered. I went into his cage (they have big dog kennel type cages) and he came out of his hut. He let me pick him up pretty easily. He has the stereotypical little bunny attitude. Was kind of pushy with my hands and demanding pets on a particular spot. He was really sweet and so gorgeous but I’m a bit worried about his attitude. I don’t want a bunny who is gonna push my Bindi around and stress him out. But I like the idea that he’s a senior same as Bindi. And I feel bad as potential adopters may overlook a senior bun. He was brought in April 25, I think I read.
You can see the attitude on his face.
Razzle- This is a big bunny! At least 3 times the size of Little Bunny. He is a REW NZ, NZ mix or possible flemmy. (thoughts on breed, I don’t know much about the big buns). He came in as a stray with 2 others. He was in bad shape and had ticks. Not neutered but this would be done if he’s adopted. No idea on age or if he’s full grown. The neuter vet may be able to guesstimate. Probably the biggest bun I”ve ever held. He was very docile in my arms. Seems pretty laid back. Again, typical attitude for his size. I’m worried that maybe this guys’ size would intimidate Bindi (and he may not even be full grown). Personally, I love the idea of a great big bunny. He’s kind of an off white (just like Bindi) from being outside. I also worry maybe he would be more prone to coming home wit health problems due to being a stray. He’s been treated with Revolution for the ticks. (can bunnies get lime disease? Hubby asked me and I really have no idea). I’m very afraid to bring home a bunny that could give something to my beloved B. I feel bad for this guy because people tend to overlook REWS. He was brought in just last week, I believe.
Opinions? I want to adopt with Bindi’s best interest in mind.
That face on Little bunny!!!!! Lol
Razzle has flemmy ears and face. I’d guess he has some in him.
As for size, Butternut is way bigger than Backers and size has never been an issue. While trying a trio with Zane (tiny bunny) her size did not dampen Zane’s enthusiasm. I really think it has more to do with personality. Butternut is big and wants to be everyone’s friend. Our smaller buns are not so much. It’s like small bunny complex or something lol.
Is bringing them both home an option? ![]()
From everything you’ve said, I would choose Razzle simply because Bindi would benefit from a chill friend, even if he is a BFG. ![]()
Hard to say! They are both so adorable!
I would call your vet just to ask about the Lyme disease thing. I know dogs can get it, not sure about buns though.
Not so super-easy!
I’m inclined towards the big guy, not just because his face reminds me of Yohio’s but because of the little guy’s attitude. We can’t have a bunny who’ll push our darling Bindi around. Even if little guy is older, he’s blue eyes and he’s tiny, which could mean higher adoptability than a huge REW?
Bunnies can get Lyme disease (borreliosis). It needs a vector to be contagious though (can pass over to the embryo from the mother, but that’s not relevant anyway), so there’s no risk for the rest of the family.
Andi, you just send Henry to me. I love Henry. It’s so typical of Henry to not let himself be shut away.
Does lyme disease in rabbits react similar to in humans?
Went and spent some time with Razzle in the visit room today with my daughter and husband. He is just the sweetest. I just assumed his eyes were red and didn’t notice yesterday but they are actually a beautiful brown. He just seems like such a kind soul. When I was petting his cheek, I noticed some brown dirt and what looked like a tick so I mentioned it to the staff and they were going to check him over again. He has previously been treated with Revolution. Really leaning towards this guy but I feel I should give the little Nethie a chance in the visit room too. My husband likes this big guy.
Any more thoughts on breed? Look at those ears!!!!!!!

Holland windmills?
Seriously, he seems lovely.
What are the options if you bring one home and find he and Bindi don’t get on? Can you ask for one or both to come on a date, like Podge did for Gina?
My goodness, he’s a cutie!!! But do give little nethie a chance too. I want you to have both but I don’t suppose that’d make Ricky clap his hands and dance the happy-dance.
From what I can find out about Lyme disease in rabbits, it doesn’t seem to affect them badly. The article mainly quoted is from a study made in 1984, where they seem to have concluded that rabbits are NOT good animals to do research about Lyme disease on, because they don’t seem to develop the same symptoms as humans. The rabbits that got infected got the typical bull’s eye rash, but it only lasted about 3 days, and not even the bunnies with a high titre of antibodies in their blood developed the other symptoms that we see in humans (fever, lethargy, arthritis, etc). It was also suggested that mature rabbits could develop immunity to the disease.
1984 was a long time ago, but the study seems to have been conclusive. Here’s the full pdf: http://iai.asm.org/content/46/1/220.full.pdf
Thanks for the info, Bam. And no, there is no way I will be getting both. Especially if one of them is gonna cost twice as much as Bindi to feed! I was hoping to win last nights’ lotto but that didn’t happen.
GinaJenny- I may e-mail and ask about the situation. From what I know, there is no option to bring Bindi in and they don’t let the bunnies leave. They do foster out bunnies but if I fostered him, there is no chance I would get to adopt if someone else was interested and snatched him away. And the big bun is not neutered yet so maybe it wouldn’t be an accurate date. Although, if he and Bindi got on uneutered, I guess that would be a really good sign.
I’m really bad at making decisions. Whichever bun I chose, I will feel awful about the other. It would be easier if there were more than 2, then I wouldn’t feel like one is the winner and one is the loser. ![]()
I’ve asked on my FB rabbit groups and about half the peeps say “Flemmie” and half say “NZ”. His ears looks more flemmie to me.
Sigh….really can’t get his wittle face out of my mind….
I know it’s a tough decision, LPT, but (a) you set out to do this for Bindi, and (b) whichever bun is lucky enough to come home with you is one less bun without a good forever home.
Yes, cost of food is an issue, didn’t really think of that =/ Since I can forage during the vegetation period my veggie costs for two rabbits wasn’t a problem – but the time I spend foraging for 2 buns instead of for just Bam is considerable.
Revolution is not necessarily the best thing against ticks, it only works on a few types of ticks. Eastern Canada’s most common tick seems to be the deer tick, Ixodes scapularis, Revolution at normal doses is not effective against ticks of the ixodes family.
This is tough, I’d ask a vet familiar with outdoors rabbits about possible other tickborn diseases in your area and how they affect rabbits, there is a whole host of diseases that these awful critters carry and transmit.
GO the EAR’s! Giggle….
I’m really bad at making decisions. Whichever bun I chose, I will feel awful about the other. It would be easier if there were more than 2, then I wouldn’t feel like one is the winner and one is the loser.
I get the feeling your heart and gut have already chosen…
I can understand feeling bad about one you don’t chose. I’d be exactly the same. I guess you just have to have faith that the right home will come for them. You know how your local SPCA works. How is their screening methods? And info they give to adopters? Is there room for improvement where you could help in the remaining bunny (and future bunnies) end up in suitable homes?
Thanks, Jersey. If I do go with the big guy, I’m sure the little one will get adopted eventually. He has mega cuteness factor being a tiny little bew. But I just worry cuz not everyone is interested in adopting a senior.
I’ve never adopted a rabbit from this SPCA. I do know that they screen potential homes very well. You need to provide 3 references and they call all of them. Not sure how often the bunnies are handled. I used to volunteer and spend time with the buns but I really don’t have the time anymore. ![]()
No, not with your little hoomin to take care of!
Both buns are adorable! I know I might be a little late on this thread, but I think you should go with the big guy. Like you said, cuteness does play a factor, and bigger guys tend to be adopted less.
It’s hard to make decisions, but like Jersey said, go with your heart.
Of course, I don’t want to force you either way.
Me too I’m late… but from what you say your number one priority is of course Bindi so let Bindi have the final say ! Gentle giant will be kinder maybe….? Or… could you do a double date and see which ones seem to get on better ![]()
Thanks. Vienna- I wish I could let Bindi choose but the shelter doesn’t allow me to bring my bunny in.
That’s what makes the decision so hard.
Spent more time with big boy today. Going again Tuesday to take the little guy out to play and see how he is.
Need to talk to my vet too about what can be done to make sure big boy doesn’t have ticks. I’m scared of bringing a bun home with ticks, especially cuz of my toddler. The shelter staff said today he was really full of ticks when they brought him in and he’s been treated twice with Revolution but it’s not the best for ticks.
How long has he been at the shelter? Ticks only feed until they’re full, then they let go and drop to the ground and can’t feed again until they’ve entered a new life-stage. So it’s not like they attack the next animal that comes along.
The feeding process normally takes a few days, but if they find a good spot they can fill up faster. If big bun has been at the shelter, away from nature, for more than a week, it’s very unlikely that he has any more ticks.
Combing and careful feeling through the fur with your fingers is really the best way to find ticks.
And nothing like a white animal to successfully find those pesky little ticks !!!
I honestly don’t know how you lot out there cope with dark coloured long haired dogs….. Kyra was yellow lab colour, short hair ! Simples !! ![]()
Squeeeeeee! You must get that big boy! I command it! LOL
Vienna, you are very right, white or light fur is excellent when you’re trying to find ticks. My dog is a German Shepherd so I have to use my fingertips.
LBJ, he’s gorgeous, squeeee is so right =)
Looks like all our hearts are set on the big fellow. ![]()
all from subconscious – and maybe unconscious – clues from the description of him from LBJ….
![]()
Bam- He’s been at the shelter since May 11. So, any ticks that were brought in on him would be long full and dead?
LBJ10- Don’t be too subtle….![]()
Yes, everyone on my FB groups as well, and my husband, all are routing for big boy. But I just can’t get rid of the pang of guilt about little guy. It’s so hard. It would be much easier if there were 3 or more bunnies and I was only taking 1. I hate taking 1 and leaving 1. But regardless of who I chose, I can’t have them both.
I feel so sorry for the little guy too, I have done since everybody incl I myself fell in love with big guy. Do you know anything about how these buns interact with other buns at the shelter? (Like if one of them has shown murderous tendencies, don’t go with him
).
Regarding ticks: The US CDC says MOST ticks let go after they’re done feeding. The deer tick, the ixodes scapularis (that’s the most common one here as well),lets go after feeding, but they can’t survive indoors, nor can their eggs. Brown dog ticks also let go – but they are killed by Revolution, so they shouldn’t be a problem.
But if he’s been inside since May 11, any surviving tick would be really big now and easy to spot. It’s very unlikely that any tick would remain alive after 12 days. I’m hoping LBJ, our in-house real-life biologist, will come hopping into the thread again soon and confirm or object.
Thanks, bam. Very helpful smarts you have, there.
No idea how the buns are with others. Big Bun came in with another male, obviously let go by their person together. They said they had some scratches probably from fighting with each other. But these were 2 un-neutered males. This guy will be neutered and given several weeks before he even moves into the rabbit room. And the little guy, no idea. Just sort of going with how he was with me. A bit snippy and attitudy. Pretty much reminded me of Olivia’s attitude (although he was not as bad).
Squeeee!
I am too excited for you LPT! ![]()
If the ticks were still eating when the revolution killed them, it’s quite possible there are still ticks on him, but they are dead and never fell off. I pulled off a couple dead ticks from a dog the people I babysit for have. The flea+tick meds killed it, but it was still attached and had to be removed. Hopefully that made sense.
Anyway, don’t feel bad. I’m sure the other bun will eventually find a good home. ![]()
How long they stay attached depends on whether they are a boy or a girl tick.
This is true for dog ticks, anyway. They are the most common ticks where I live and they are least likely to carry diseases (although they can and this varies by region). The female tick can feed for up to one week before falling off the host. The male feeds for only a couple days. Do you know how to tell the difference? Hehehe!
Dead ticks can sometimes remain attached after they are killed by Revolution or whatever if they are thoroughly embedded in the skin. They don’t pose a risk to other animals though because they are dead. However, Revolution does not kill ticks already attached quickly enough to prevent the spread of Lyme Disease if said tick is infected. But, like I said, dog ticks are a lot less likely to carry it than deer ticks and lone star ticks.

The male ticks are the ones with “one foot out the door” already? lol IDK!!! How do you tell?
I’m honestly a fence sitter about who would be the best bunny to be potential friend for Bindi. You just never know sometimes… They may act a certain way with us and different when around a rabbit. Environment counts also.
I don’t think you can tell the difference except in the adults where the male has a bigger “shield” on his back. In that stage he doesn’t suck blood, so he won’t attach.
It is true about personality, I’m thinking big guy might be more prone to defending himself since he’s been outside and had to be pretty tough to survive, plus he’s (probably) been in a fight with another male already.
How difficult.
Don’t be silly. Everyone knows that boys wear suspenders and girls wear necklaces. ![]()
Ticks haven’t become more gender neutral? Thrown out the gender roles? ![]()
Jersey, you are so right. I’m so sorry and ask forgiveness of all non-binary ticks out there.
Lol, guys….
You have no idea how torn up I am about this whole thing…Well, okay, you probably do. I just really want to do what’s right for Bindi. I’m quite certain I’m unable to bring Bindi in to meet these buns, but I am going to send an e-mail and ask. Although, Ricky really wants the big bunny. He said the little guy seems like a jerk.
Although, I feel like even if I did bring B in, it wouldn’t be fair to big bunny since he’s not neutered. Thoughts?
Little Bun was the Pet of the Day featured in our local paper today. So hopefully, if I don’t get him, someone else will soon. He’s been there the longest.
Going to the SPCA in the a.m. to visit them again.
OMG, Jersey, Bam, you guys are terrible! Funny, but terrible! LOL
Seriously though, boys do have suspenders and girls do have necklaces.o
Oh LPT, I know this must be hard. I really think it would put your mind at ease if the buns could meet beforehand.
Boy!
Girl!
*runs screaming, hides under a blankie, and shudders*
Thank you for those early morning “””””shudders”””……..got the heeby jeebies…..gross
I was scrolling through this chat and I came face-to-face with the ticks. Lovely wakeup!
LBJ, They DO wear suspenders and necklaces! I thought you were joking! We almost exclusively have the deer tick here, they don’t wear fancy jewellery and suspenders. They just go around and spread disease all day long =(
I sort of hope little guy gets adopted before you have to choose, LPT.
Okay, so not able to bring Bindi in. I went this morning and made my choice. I’m happy with my decision but obviously feel bad for the other bun. Will feel guilty until he gets adopted or maybe less guilty when there are some other bunnies there. The shelter posts on FB when a pet gets adopted.
Will post again when I get him home in a couple of days ![]()
Trying to keep us in suspense LPT? Not cool. ![]()
Congrats on the adoption though! ![]()
![]()
Whatever your choice, there is one more bun in the world who will be truly loved now. ![]()
Hahaha! Sorry guys….. had to prove I wasn’t joking. LOL
Yep Bam, we would make a game out of it with the school kids so they would feel less scared. How many boys will we find and how many girls.
LPT you cannot do that to us!!!!! LOL
Trying to keep us in suspense LPT? Not cool.
MoxieMeadows
LPT you cannot do that to us!!!!! LOL
LBJ10
You guys seriously can’t guess who it is? I just assumed it was, you know…
My guess is the big boy, but she doesn’t indicate that in her post.
Woohoo! Can’t wait and so very happy for you and Bindi ![]()
Congrats LPT! The suspense is real!! Tell us soon! I’m so happy for you and Bindi! ![]()
Jersey and LBJ– I don’t want to guess in case I’m wrong, because you never know. ![]()
Came in VERY late and it toom forever to read the form but congrats LPT! The suspense it real D:
Quick creepy story:
I was camping and felt something crawling up my arm.
I thought it was a fly so I flicked it off without comprehending what it was (I am the crazy lady who doesn’t kill bugs unless I really have to!) It was a tick climbing down my arm!!! The rest of the trip I was checking my arms and having my cousong check my back.
OF COURSE it’s big bun – welcome to the big bun family !! Fingers crossed they get on harmoniously…. ![]()
Mwahaha…..you all have to wait until bunny comes home tomorrow!!!
Arrgh! I can’t wait that long! Evil LPT! ![]()
Yesterday me and my sisters and mom went swimming. My younger sister got a leech on her (it was attached and drinking blood). She was SCREECHING so loudly and crying. lol Leeches are almost worse than ticks. ![]()
Moxie – turn the horror around – tell her now that she has special powers !!

Nasty!!!! Don’t get me started on gross things…..the June bugs are out…..Every night they bang at my windows. It’s like tiny little zombies trying to get into my house…
You probably shouldn’t go anywhere tropical LPT. LOL
Oh I *HATE* June bugs! They are so gross and nasty! And they fly sooo loudly. I am terrified of them. One time several years ago I was going to bed and the light was off. All of the sudden I heard it—The flapping. All of the sudden I felt a thud on my face…The june bug had landed. Ew Ew Ew!

Haha! Love the meme…
LOL could you speed it up LPT!? I cannot take the wait!
Ok. So let me get this straight: we’ve got Moxie’s sister’s tiny vampire and LPT’s tiny zombies. Ermagah! The end is near which means that a tiny hot buff man should be showing up any minute now to save the world.
(I watch lots of apocalypse movies.)
I’ve been in the sandpit nearly a decade now and since my flat is seaside, three of those years we had hopper swarms – giant hoppers that grew in size, darkness, and crunchiness over the course of the summer invading by the hundreds. They’d crawl in under the door and once that was blocked with towels they’d rain down through the air vents in the ceiling or chew their way in around window frames. I’d vacuum up dozens each day since pest control had no effect on them due to sheer numbers of “freshies”. ![]()
LPT, if you’re thinking of giving the bunny you adopt a new name, I think it will have to be bug themed.
Maybe a character’s name from A Bugs Life or go classic with Jiminy. ![]()
OMG look.

A sea slug
China Silkworm Moth ( I think!)
A harli-marked netherland dwarf bug! ![]()

Ugh…..Q8Bunny….your description gave me goosebumps…yuck…how did you manage….
Jersey- Those little bugs are quite squeeable!
Going off theme guys – we want PHOTO, we want PHOTO !!!
LPT: A lot of girly screams, mozzie netting under the ceiling vents that was tossed when full, a handheld dustbuster in every room, and a very steady Englishman by my side (no longer together
)
Today is the day we get pics right?!
