So my bunny is litter trained and he runs around my room everything is bunny proofed and he is usually happy. Before we got him nurtured he would spray me while I was sleeping. That stopped once he was nurtured. We recently made it so he could not hide and stay under our bed because he would steal things and stay there all day. Well now when I sleep he jumps on my bed and poops next to me and then gets really close to me and pees on the bed so it gets on me. We have had him for 2 years and I feel like he hates me. He has never bit us. He gets a buffet of food, fruits and veggies, but he does what I call revenge poop. Please help. Ps. He sleeps on the bed with us and this is just a recent the last few days problem.

Bunnies pee on things they like, so I don’t think its because he hates you.

They also pee to express anger, so maybe he’s annoyed that you’re not letting him under the bed anymore. Since it’s coincided with that, it sounds like that is probably the problem.

I would keep him off the bed for a few days. Whenever he pees, pick him up and put him immediately in his litterbox. He probably knows he’s being naughty, so hopefully he’ll pick it up soon.

Agreed. Rabbits pee and poop on things they like. Hes showing his like towards you and towards your very soft bed. Rabbits like to toilet onto soft things, and Im sure your bed soaks the pee up fast so hes not feeling like he is sitting in a puddle.

I dont know how to train your bun out of it because none of my three do this, but it is a common question asked on this forum. Hopefully other users will pop in and tell you how they trained their rabbit out of peeing on their beds

Wick used to pee on the bed a lot, but he’s stop now (kinda; may still happen if he’s upset with someone). Associating it with being a bad thing, being consistent with that behavior, and actively making it something that will happen less frequently are all things that may help.

              1) Bad Thing association – I carried over my litter training tactic to the bed, so each time it happened or was about to happen, I’d hiss very loudly and chase Wick off the bed, into his litter box. Or, I’ll hiss very loudly and put him in the litter box myself. If I catch it before hand and he then pees when he’s in the litterbox, I praise him a lot.

              2) Consistency – This will depend on the situation, but even if he’s literally soaked my arm, leg, pillow, whatever, my priority is getting him to know that’s not allowed, so I’ll still do the same steps and get him to the box before doing any clean up or maintenance. If you have expensive sheets or something, that order may be different, but consistency is important. Because of this, barring off your bedroom/bed when you cannot supervise may be a good idea. Each time he does it successfully with no bad-association, it weakens the learning factor.

              3) Less Frequency – This means cutting things off before it gets bad. If Wick wants to hang out on the bed, I review how long its been since I’ve seen him in his litter box. If it has been a while, I’ll let him explore a bit on the bed, but then call him to hang out with my elsewhere, or just pick him up and bring him somewhere else. This also means there are times when he just used the restroom and I invite him on the bed so have some exploration time with less-likelihood for peeing.

Hopefully these tips will help! Best of luck.

Update: I changed my sheets. He then jumped on the bed while I was sleeping and chewed a hole threw the sheet and water proof cover. I just think he is really mad at me
