Friday the 13th turned out to be a very lucky day for a little bunny we have named Angel.  We had a very successful bunny round-up tonight in the Richmond Hill area of Toronto and we rescued a stray darling little lionhead!  We think she’s a girl but one can never be sure.  Right now she is relaxing in an xpen and doing a little exploring.

It was a relatively easy catch – she seems very trusting and we managed to drop a net on her after about 10 minutes of flushing her out of some bushes.  Her fur looks good, so do her teeth and ears and her nails are a bit long.  other than that she is a darling who I am sure will get adopted very soon!  We will try to get her to the Toronto Humane Society this weekend once we are done snorgling her!

It’s so hard to believe people could just dump such a sweet little bun like this.  Glad you rescued her!

Great job catching her!  It is not easy to catch a bunny outside.  My bunny boy DJ was caught by one of our shelter advocates in a round up, she cornered him into an XPen enclosure and then brought him to the shelter.  We adopted him a few months later.  She is very cute, it looks like she was dumped fairly recently, as long hairs get really matted when they are outside.

I agree, I don’t think she was out all that long – the lady who reported her has been seeing her for two weeks but her fur is in really great shape and no fleas or mites. She was not all that affraid of us either and was very cuddly last night as my husband gave her cuddles. She even pooped in her litterbin this morning! GOOD BUNNY!!!

I often wonder how bunnies in the parks and streets are caught … poor little girl … she looks like a lovely bunny who will make an excellent furry friend for a nice human!

Job very well done in capturing her and bringing her to safety.

Angel is still at home with us.  The good news is, the rabbit rescue my husband and I volunteer for just had some rabbits adopted and now has a foster home for her!  She is doing marvelously.  She is a wonderful eater and her poops are great.  She loves spending time with us on our bed in the evenings and loves to be petted.  She even gives us licks!

But it gets better!  Someone has already seen her picture and wants to adopt her to bond to their boy bunny!  She goes in for a spay on Monday and once she has recouperated, she is off to her new forever home!  Yay for Angel!

yay for angel!  she’s so beautiful… it’s no wonder why she was scooped up so quickly.  hope the spay goes well & she recovers swiftly
