Today I read an article written by the anesthesiologist of the vet school in thessaloniki. The object of the article was the use of laryngeal mask in rabbits. It has been succesfull in a study of about 30 rabbits. But they mentioned that it is not of use for rabbits that weight less than 2 kilos because of the smaller anatomy. They also said that generally the use of endotracheal tube is very difficult so the mask is a very good choice.

Is the endotracheal mask different from the regular mask that I have read that vets use for gas anesthetics?

To dwarf owners…which one have your vets used? mask, laryngeal mask or endotracheal tube?

Interesting! I don’t really know anything about this the differences in masks, altho I’ve seen many surgery pics of buns with the regular mask on their face. I don’t actually know what was used on Meadow, but I assume the regular one.
