And again with the sneezing

Of course, this illicits a call to my vet, but I am thoroughly frustrated at this point and just need to vent.

Mimzy’s been doing some off and on sneezing for the last few weeks, but nothing as major as today. I’ve just heard him go through a second rapid fire ‘machine-gun’ series of sneezes, and he’s got some slightly opaque goobers coming out of his nose again.

This has to be those teeth. Apparently they didn’t heal with the antibiotics. He had a strip of carrot stick today and I watched as he maneuvered it around to his left side to chew on, but of coure some of it floats over to the right eventually.

Within minutes of finishing it, he was sneezing uncontrollably.

This last sneezing fit just a few minutes ago…who knows what started it? I don’t see that he’s chewed anything in the last few minutes.

Some of his lettuce has caused similar responses as well…I think probably all the harder parts of the leaf.

*sigh* I’m guessing we’ll be hearing the word ‘extraction’ soon. >.< My poor little guy....

ohhhh….bummer! I’m sorry. Poor Mimz. Poor you! Well, hopefully the extraction will get rid of this chronic problem once and for all. But what hell you’ve had to go through to prevent this and to try and help him heal. What a pain. I would be frustrated too! GRRRR!

I’m sorry, MM, but I can’t help thinking extraction is a blessing in disguise. I agree with BB, that it will end the whole situation and he will literally breathe easier. One less tooth doth not a gummy bun make.

I sure hope so, guys. I just hate the thought of him being in more pain, and having to endure anesthesia again (and probably more antibiotics) but with any luck this will be the end of all his troubles.

Okay, well…Mimzy has another appointment for more radiographs and maybe some bloodwork on Wednesday. She’s going to go with just a face mask anesthesia instead of intravenous.
This means hubby has to drive him in and wait for him to be done and go back and get him. Then he’s got dental himself the next day and I don’t think that’s going to be pretty.

*sigh* Keeping my fingers crossed and my prayers going…..for both of them.

Well tomorrow morning is coming on quickly. I’m going to spend some extra personal time with him tonight. He’ll like that.

And yeah, I got a call today saying his dentist appointment is actually tomorrow so, hopefully we can get this all worked out time-wise.

Luckily it’s just a check up, they’re not going to do any surgery. Otherwise I’d have changed Mimzy’s appointment. There’s no way I’m having the hubby drive my bunny around when he’s been to the dental surgeon with all their nice sleepy-sleep medicines they use! 0_o

Aw! Well good dentist appointment vibes to you!
I have to schedule mine a little sooner too, I’m having a lot of trouble with my crowned teeth. Seems like they lose the ‘glue’ or whatever holds them on about every 6 months and I can feel hot and cold WAY too easily. Ow.
