When I got Hunny, she was two days old when I was cuddling her and she decided to pee on my lap. Ido know that when rabbits pee on you it can be for really good, or, an insult. I haven’t had the honor again until today. She was looking straight into my eyes. I was out sitting by our fish and frog pond and she was with me. She loves to go out with me. I held her on my lap telling her how beautiful she was and I met her eyes and I could feel the love from them towards me, and then, I felt a warmth on my lap!! Anyhowl it stained the whole left side of her white and black side of her. I gave her a bath, a half bath and used Dawn to get rid of the urine stain. She loves it when I bathe her! I love my baby. I know she peed on me and it was an affectionate thing. I wish she would send me chocolates or flowers instead.

You meant 2 months old?? Right?
In another thread you mentioned she is now spayed and 10 lbs…how old is Hunny now? The peeing can be claiming/marking and sometimes dominance I think. Rascals! I agree though, wish they’d give flowers of chocolate!

Yes, I did mean two months old. She was 2 years old on Ausgust 6th.  I knew that the first time she was marking me as her territory. She way she did it yesterday was reminiscent. She was being so affectionate.  She always loves to lick my hands. She is huge for a min lop. She is not fat as I am very careful with her diet..

LOL Maybe tell her you’d prefer flowers and chocolates

Chuck peed on me once; He’s blind and backed up and peed off the edge of my legs. I got the idea he thought he wasn’t peeing on me-but I totally got soaked Oh and driving my friend’s rabbit to the vet one day, she peed on me. MAN they pee a lot. My GP’s used to pee on me all the time and it was way less pee.

Gross-How often have I been peed on? Too many to count.

Mine doe peed on me when really young. My soon 3-year old buck peed on me when I was giving meds not too long ago. I wonder if our body heat stimulates them to pee?

She could have been saying…”I like you…you’re mine, I claim you and own you” all at the same time.

And sometimes, they have to pee and just can’t hold it (depending on how long they are on your lap) Most of the time though they’ll dig at your lap or give some restless signals first, but not always.) I recently discovered that the “sound” of water makes Jack run to his litterbox to pee. When I “refill” their water dish by pouring water directly into the dish while they are right next to it, Jack goes off running to the litterbox, so I know you said you were near a pond – maybe th water helped inspire the water works.

Otherwise, it sounds like your bunny is an affectionate gal and was claiming your lap.

lolz…BB for some reason I just got the thought of bunnies peeing because of aural sensation being the same as putting a human’s hand in warm water.

Mimzy definitely gives me fair warning before he pees on something he’s not supposed to. It’s my own fault if I don’t heed it!
A while ago when he was out playing on the bed next to Fiver’s cage we had two episodes where he very deliberately went over to the door of the pen and peed in front of it. How chivalrous! ^_^
They’re good buddies now. They like to snuggle as close as the bars will allow and touch noses.
