Hello Bunny Parents! I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on hard carriers that are within the United Airlines carrier approval dimensions. The max dimensions are 17.5 inches long x 12 inches wide x 7.5 inches high.

Most of the carriers I’ve seen designated as “airline approved” have been on Amazon. Just make sure, as you have noted above, that the dimensions of the carrier being sold are no bigger than the dimensions provided by the airline.

Do any airlines actually accept buns on flights? Last time I checked, they only accept dogs and cats. I hope I’m wrong!

A couple members here have flown with their buns . I’m not sure if it’s only certain airlines, but I think United was the airline one member used.

This is the type Mary Cotter from House Rabbit Society uses for car and flying. Petmate Cabit Kennel Pet Carrier. They are 17″x12″x8″.

There is a solid top and wire top version. You can fit a litterbox inside.

I think United allows them on domestic flights only. And Alaskan too, I believe. Also there’s a pet airline but their name eludes me. But they’re all for domestic flights. No airlines except China and Iceland allows them in cabin internationally anymore… And even then they have to not be alliance operated flights.
