Though the wood housing looks good, I am really worried about a couple of things.
The NIC cubes are really not the most secure thing to have as far as outside fencing goes. It doesn’t seem like it would take much for a determined predator to knock that down or even jump over. Do you have a top for that? Raccoons can be dangerous too! As well as outdoor cats. Hawks are not always easy to spot, so since you are forced to have these bunnies outside, I really recommend that you make a more secure covered fenced in area. As it is now, it’s not safe.
FYI: I live in a close knit neighborhood grid, with homes just about 8 feet away from each other, and we have raccoons and hawks all the time. The other day a hawk flew right into our back tree taking a blue jay. And raccoons come right up to our back door. Even when I lived in San Francisco, the raccoons would climb up the endless narrow stairs up to people’s back porches high off the ground. (I actually have a video tape of that)
I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to have more secure fencing there. I also recommend having a tighter netted type of fence to prevent mice and rats from getting in. The Bunny food and water will attract them.
Please do this asap, as each night they are there with that fencing they are at risk. I would bring them in until you get that fixed.
