I thought I would share a funny thing with y’all to cheer myself up.

I’m kinda bummed since my sweetie is out of town this week at a business conference,   which we paid for ourselves – keep your fingers crossed it goes well!

 

Okay, so, when ever the bunnies run up to J, he will bend down to them and hold his hands out – about 8 inches (20cm) apart. He then wiggles his fingers and says, “Winston – or Kay – want upsies? Come on, who wants upsies?”

At this point the bunny will look at me with an expression that can only be interpreted as “Mom, is dad high again?”     then the bunny, of course, runs away!

 

But, it cracks me up every time!

That is such a nice photo of your husband handing out bunny treats.  I expected to see Kay leading the way and Winston having to sit back and wait his turn- but it was the other way around!

My husband gives the bunnies treats when they are in their pens and begging like crazy- but when they are out and about he seems more leary of Penny and Schroeder- although he says he is no longer araid of Penny.  But I think Cotton, that we got as a youngun, will always be a “Daddy’s girl” in his mind- he fawns over her and points out cute behavior more often with her than with the other bunnies.

Actually, Kay will often climb over Winston to get to the cookies!
And, yea, he totally fawns over his bunnies!!

My boyfriend was scared of the bunny… or scared the bunny would reject him until he realized that bunnies are very easily bribed. Now he likes to sit on the floor and hand out bits of parsley with Diego climbing all over him. Diego loves her papaya tablets and the bf will be at my house and say, “don’t you think the rabbit needs a tablet?” I think he is secretly pleased with himself when Diego just comes over to him to say hi! If only all of our friends knew how tough he really was…

Oh that is precious! ^_^ I love watching big, tough guys get all ga-ga with cute little rabbits! xD

My hubby was SO upset that Mimzy didn’t have anywhere to run out to greet him anymore when we brought him home. Now when “Daddy” walks in the room, Mimzy hides under his shelf! (When they were first dropped off at hubby’s workplace, he would go out every day and bring lettuce and carrots for them and they’d all charge him like a little herd of fluffy buffalo.)

Markus needs to become a motivational speaker that travels around the country educating men on what women really want- men that like bunnies and men that don’t freak over the litte things (nibbled wire, poo on the floor, etc).  And men that CUDDLE their bunnies but yet are completely trained to anticipate, meet and exceed their every whim (the bunnies whims and our whims).  OK, I guess that is not fair- I am describing someone with SuperHero capabilities.

I did get to talk with J last night – the conferance is good, he is supper busy, has me people he knows of and people who know of him – how cool is that!

And, oh yes – I stop everything I am doing every night when It’s J’s turn to do “cookies” – so that I can watch him and the bunnies!

 Maybe women measure ga-ga-ness differently to men.  We’re likely quick to peg someone as ga-ga.  Actually, I guess ga-ga-ness and shelter work don’t go well together…so I may concede…to half a ga.  To me,  the baby talking is a big sign.  Guilty?
