I took this pic of Cotton the other day that shows the superior napping ability of a lop bunny to cover their eyes.

That’s so cute! I always find my lop sleeps much more deeply than my other two, maybe it really helps, having those big ears.

Hey your Cotton can cover his eyes and ears to get a nice deep sleep.  Cool.  the advantages of being a lop.   A big deep sleep.

What really concerns me is that he’s napping on a chopping board.

I love lop naps, they always seem so laid back! I’ve seen Charlie close his ears on us when we’ve offended him LOL. Handy ears to have.

Ha, ha – I noticed the chopping board too!

Ha-Ha, the cutting board is the protect that area of the cage.  That corner is a hot spot for Penny or Cotton to pee or poo- they are still having some poo/pee wars in their bonding process.  If the cutting board is not there the blanket absorbs all the pee and encourages repeat use for peeing.

Great idea for for a pee/poo deterrent. I have used folded up slippery plastic table mats when they get into their stubborn pee/poo mode but they can lift them out and get them out of the way if they so desire. The chopping block seems like a more sturdy solution.
