        Not sure what to do,

We’ve had our litter probs since adding a third bunny but been able to fix that (adding extra litter boxes)…

Chucks two places are his home (three boxes two litter boxes, one with food/water, one strictly litter and one bed box, just snugly toys and such) and his spot on the couch for exercise, a blanky to chew up and dig etc.

He seems to enjoy cushy surfaces while the others enjoy cool lino to sleep on…so i gave him a pillow to sleep on and he adores it…but he pees on it!!

What to do?? I want him to be super comfy and happy but not peeing on his bed…??

I’m much more new than you, but my guess would be he’s just marking it for the time being. Once he gets over that he’ll feel like it’s his and everyone knows it and stop marking it? :/

Furbaby brought up a good point. It is a pillow a human used at any point or is it ia new one? This almost sounds like the territorial pee thing like with the bed.

HAHHA!! Rupert, your gig is up!

A while back one of our earlier members, Anitastark, tried a method that was supposed to help prevent dogs and cats from marking stuff, but she found it worked for her bunny: Take a lightly damp cloth and rub it all over the “offending” bunny, that would be Rupert. Then rub that all over the item that keeps getting marked. The idea is that it is supposed to transfer the smell over so that the animal feels satisified that it’s been claimed without resorting to their own more damaging methods. Note: Not sure why it has to be lightly damp – maybe it catches more scent/stuff. But you could also try it dry and see if that works.

HOPEFULLY, Rupert will be okay as long as his scent is added as Chucks scent will also be on there since he will be hanging out on it.

Let us know what ends up working.

That sneaky scamp! That is so not fair to the ever-patient Chuck.
BB, an interesting suggestion. One question pops to mind: will Chuck think it now smells like Rupert and start marking it himself to get it to be his own again?

Tell Rupert that he has a whole house, and little Chuck just has his boxes so go away if he can’t play nice.

                      “my pillow!”

                      “NO! my pillow.”

“mine! Mom got it for meeeeee.” *sticks out tongue*

                        ROTFL

I removed the soiled case and wrapped it up in a towel (as I didn’t have another pillow case clean…) and so far it seems OK-maybe because I busted him doing it?

                          Yes, I’m sure that’s it.

But K&K, be a little careful when you go to bed tonight, I mean, check your pillow before you lie down…
