Is there anyone in the Calgary or surrounding areas that would be able to adopt a loving male Holland Lop? A friend of mine rescued him from an abusive home recently and she has to move and no pets are allowed in her new apartment complex *sad face*   I would adopt him myself but both my girls are un-altered at the moment and wer’e not sure if this boy bunny has been spayed. If anyone know of someone who is able to adpt this little guy that would be great.

I know the humane society adopts out buns also, but I thought I’d try here first since I know you’re all bunny lovers. This lil guy is very affectionate considering he came from an abusive home. he likes to lick the back of your neck when you sit on the couch and he’s is very much a lap bunny also.

I will post a picture once I figure out how to do it right.

Calgary is in Alberta. West side of Canada. he has been well fed the past week or so, and seems to have gained some weight which he really needed. He has been to the vets to check for any major health issues. If it weren’t for the housing situation my friend would keep him. She has never owned a rabbit before but she has really shown a knack for caring for this little bundle of joy.

Not that I’m encouraging any illicit behaviors, but I lived with a rabbit in a dorm room for several weeks. Just sayin’. Rabbits are quiet, albeit messy, pets: it’s not that hard to sneak them around.

Actually many apartments that don’t allow “pets” usually don’t allow un-caged pets. Your friend may want to ask about caged pets and say that she has an opportunity to adopt a rescued bunny. She doesn’t need to tell the landlord about the out-of-cage time

I agree with Scooter. I have been in two different “no pet” apartments but I tell them that I have a bunny that is in a cage. They either let me keep them or ask for a bigger security deposit. Either way, never had to give up the buns!

Bunnies are very easy to sneak. I’ve had Monty, Winnie and Humphrey + a chinchilla in my dorm this year. <__<

I’m very very pleased to announce that my friend is now able to keep her new found love. She spoke to her apartment manager and they are allowing her bun to stay for a mere $250 additional small pet deposit. She is thrilled about this. She has even named her new “son” Sebastian.

I was hoping she would find a way to keep him. The love of a bunny is too hard to resist. Another bunny slave for the world wooohooo!!!

excellent.  if only more folks would find a way to keep their pets rather than find a way to get rid of them!

Just a quick update on Sebastian. He has his owner wrapped around his little paw. He’s settled in nicely and has definately become king of his domain. He seems very happy and has been binkying all around the living room. He has a “throne” ( a blanket that sits atop the couch) and enjoys spending time there watching tv.

We are planning a bunny play date as soon as our bunnies have had their spaying operations.
