I was at SaveABunny yesterday, and Marcy showed me this funny video http://youtube.com/watch?v=ogJjmbon6ng Naughty bunnies need love too.
Oh, he’s a hoot. Just doing what bunnies do :~)
thats one happy bunny. I like buns like that.
Yes I saw that one too of the bunny that does NOT chew! BB- Have you met Georgette?
Sheesh, guys, you think I don’t already HAVE naughty bunnies?? ^_^
I’ll have to go watch that. Too funny! xD

If you ever have any questions about a specific bunny at Save A Bunny, just let me know and I’ll be happy to “check them out” next time I am there. I am planning on heading over there this weekend and will be happy to spend a little extra time with Georgette and let you know what I think of her.
It sounds like she is looking for a boyfriend so maybe Edson’s lucky day is just around the corner, eh? ![]()
That is one seriously beautiful rabbit.
Markusdark – Would you check her out? That would be so nice of you. There’s also another one there named Brazil but she has major malocclusion and I just can’t take that on. She’s such a cutie though. Thanks!!!!
Osprey – yer right, and she even knows how to pose too!
Know – I’ll check on both buns for you. I believe someone just donated the money to have Brazil’s malinclusion fixed. They remove the trouble teeth. The buns don’t notice this and the only extra care you need to give them is that when you give them hard treats (such as carrots or apples) you need to cut them really small or shred them. They can eat hay, pellets and greens just fine.
Not to mention this also saves you from any chewing issues on your rug and/or furniture. How can you say no to such a kissy face? ![]()
That IS a face isn’t it!!! OK here comes my neurosis. How do I know I’m not adopting a bun that has something contagious to Edson. That’s my main fear bringing home e.cuniculi or something. I would sure hate to rock the great boat I already have. Do you have a vet check them out before adopting assuming I pay for it?
All buns are checked out with a vet to make sure they’re not contagious. We still recommend an exam by your vet when you take your new bun home – that way you can have a baseline and they can confirm everything Save A Bunny tells you about the bun.
I will, of course, double check with Marcy about what measures are taken to make sure buns aren’t contagious but since she houses over 50 buns in her home, I’d imagine she goes through great lengths to make sure they’re not contagious.
Are you sure? I can’t imagine they would do blood tests on all incoming rabbits???? Wouldn’t it take a blood test to find out for sure?
Dunno, that’s why I’ll check.
I doubt they do blood tests too – they are very expensive. EC has to be sent off too for a special blood test and that takes awhile to come back from what I understand.
They can’t afford to do blood test on every single rabbit, however, I know some rescues you can pay for the bunny you’re interested in to be tested. They can usually get the test done at a discounted rate with their vet, so it wouldn’t be as expensive as if you just walked into a vets office and paid for the test. That would be something to check with saveabunny about.
That was cute.
I checked with Marcy – they don’t do blood tests. I do not know the long term effects of e.cullin..whatever but I have known about buns who have lived long lives with it. They are more than willing to have a bloodtest done though – at your expense. They are a rescue afterall and really have to watch their pennies.
Know – I heard you visited them recently and met Brazil. Unfortunately, they are hoping that the adopter will pay for her surgery. As it turns out, the ‘kissy face’ picture is actually of her growling at Marcy. She is in a lot of pain and just not very happy at the moment.
Now, as for Georgette – she’s gonna be scooped up quickly. She was just back from her spaying but was very alert and friendly. She doesn’t like to be carried/held and I had to stop twice because she’s a professional squirmer! But when we sat down in the X-pen all she wanted to do was climb all over me and get head pets. She doesn’t “melt” to the floor like most buns do when getting the head pets but she’s more than happy to take them.
I can’t tell how she’d be with another bun but in a couple of weeks when the hormones drop down, it would probably be a good time to bring Edson over and meet her – if she’s still there. She has the biggest ears I have seen on a lop in a long time. ![]()
Oh, and Marcy is tryin’ to push Bono off on me. Apparently, I am the only one that he doesn’t attack when I reach into his cage. In fact, he wants nothing but head pets from me. I guess after dealing with Maryann, he can tell that I don’t take no gruff from buns.

Hey Markusdark – Yes I was over there Friday for a nail trim. Georgette was not there because she was being spayed. I was dying to see her. I did meet Brazil. What a mouth. Poor little thing and it’s awful she’s in so much pain. I wonder if she’s on any pain meds. I just can’t take on those expenses or ongoing problems now. I need a little break! I am going to be doing some major volunteering computerwise so I will get to meet Georgette soon, I hope. Is she a Holland Lop? She doesn’t really look like one. A French? Boy Othello is a character. He is in such a small cage for his bouncey personality and size but I think he gets some time out. He was the only one in there that was dying for attention. And Count Chocula! What a hunk! Thanks for all the info.
sorry about necroing this thread but just a quick FYI, Brazil above has been adopted. And I found out that those cute ‘kissy face’ pictures were actually her growling at Marcy. ![]()
Markusdark – Yeah I saw that on the site! I know about the growling as I witnessed it! Very funny actually. I was there a couple days ago and they have put Maury in with a few other buns which I think is a great idea. Can you believe Pandora was in there too and she was grooming him?!!! He’s my next pursuit. He knows his name and came running over to me. I have a feeling he and Edson might do well together since they are both mellow. Do you have any inside info on Maury other than the teeth issues?
OK That naughty bunny video was a HOOT!!! That was super cute!!
I wish I lived in California, it seems there are so many in needs bunnies there!!! I saw a link to tippy’s video from the naughty bunny video, gawd I’m all teared up now…
