        my bunny has a jaw abcess, i previously posted about when to help them go, and he may be getting there.

        i would like to do everything possible to help him be comfortable, and recently, the abscess has had a horrible smell of rotting flesh/rotting eggs.

        if i can smell it with him running around in a large room, i cannot imagine the smell for him right under his nose. is there anything i can do to help him out and make it smell a little less. I am cleaning it all the time, so that is not the answer.

        thank you so much. this has just become so strssful for me and im sure 100x stressful for him.

          This is very hard for you both. I am wondering if the vet has any medication with some fragrance, like mint, that you can apply that would cut the smell?
          Maybe a little bit of apple juice in his water will make his mouth taste sweeter to him, if not to cut the odor.

          Is it that much worse that he needs to be seen today?

            Awww poor little guy. Abscesses are definitely stinky. I agree with Pam maybe the vet would have a suggestion. Maybe feeding parsley-just a guess-as that neutralizes garlic smell and makes breath fresh…I don’t know I don’t really have any other ideas though. {{Vibes}}
