do angora’s shed like regular buns     also    does their hair continuously grow n grow n grow til trimmed? I can’t wait til next month I am starting to get pics of Ruby and Puff too.  Puff seems to have a Don King hairdo   looks like someone on a cartoon blasted a trumpet in his face and his hair stood up ahhaa. I always thought his hair was funny now I have a bun with hair like his I got pics of that toooo.

Is Puff a boy? For some reason I thought the two new ones were both girls. Maybe Cotton is afraid of any bun that looks like Don King.
          Pix. soon.

yeah they are both girls for soem reason I think Puff is 3 mos or 4 tho she wasn’t at pet store that long. they get them at 2 mos. I am having hard tiem with their litterbox training. they like to pee on the rugs I have under their cage. well this one may take some time to get it. also they are young yet so they poo and wee a lot and dont’ have much control yet   you knwo even the spayed girl bun I had trouble with her litterbox habits. I think i s a female thing.

I don’t think it’s necessarily a girl thing – they need to be spayed and they are in a new place.

yeah that would help when they get old enuf.  Ruby I noticed no more pee spots on her rug. I put cardboard boxes in also to try to discourage peeing on rug and catch poops for the garden.   Puff now is another matter entirely. she pees and poops in the cardboard box  and the floor if she is out etc. I have to work with her on that.

yes, though the degree of which depends on your breed.I know  English Angoras will enter aa molt every so often. Giants and germans need a shearing every so often.

Yes. I’ve seen rabbits on the show table with fur at least 6 inches long.

so do you take angoras to a groomer, or can you cut the hair yourself?

I don’t know I would like to cut it myself I have an electric hair cutter and really small scissors.  I dont’ know which is best to use on them. right now she is pretty as she is and the hair is ok. but in the future I may have to get her a trim and I dont’ know which to use.

i cut all my dogs myself, we have a flea outbreak where i am every spring so i have to do it or they suffer alot with the treatments of getting rid of them, i have tried everything to prevent them from getting them and the only thing that worked was cutting their hair right down and putting powder in them so i have 2 do it myself, it would cost me £60 ($120) to get both cut here, not worth it really. I think all their doggy friends take the pee out of them though
