I spent a decent amount of money spoiling my bunnies and getting them all sorts of chew toys from the pet store. they would sniff them, and then dismiss them shortly after. one day I decided to put a plastic bowl full of water in their playpen, and after finishing their water… they ended up playing with the bowl for a long time haha. you can get them at target for pretty cheap, my bunnies still toss and nudge it around everyday!

Most bunnies around here dont like pet store toys, they prefer home-made or baby toys :p plastic keys, boxes paper towel rolls and such are big hits, same as untreated wood baskets.

I’ve used the big laundry detergent caps before (obviously making sure it was washed out very, very well.) They like to flip them around.

Frisbies, I put their veggies on it, then they toss it around some
I used to have plastic keys, where were a hit! But my old Rex would actually eat and injest the plastic… so we stuck to just wire cat balls after that.

I used to also get those picnic plates made of straw or sorta wood stuff, those were great, I could give them to Bo without worrying as he ate everything. I havn’t seen them for a while though.

MirBear, I just adore the huge leaves that you have next to the bunnies for their dinner lol. So cute!

I love the idea of frisbees. It’s like a hidden surprise treat under the bok choy. Haven’t tried that either, but if yours like it, might be worth testing on Herself.

                            Haha devious rascals.
I spent butt loads of money on snazzy little chew toys for kelly,
but then she decided she was going to settle on the free empty paper towel roll.
So i stopped spending money. lol.
I just give my bunny paper towel rolls with a few sheets left on it (She loves shredding paper towels, so she can spend days shredding them then play in the empty roll later), plastic bottle lids (After filing off those sharp little bumps), and just little cardboard pieces here and there. I also got her cat balls with the bells in them, which she seems to take a liking to, Also a cardboard box with shredded newspaper keeps her occupied for a while.
Maybe i will have to try these ideas :]

My first bunny loved the cheap toys, like laundry detergent caps. I’d stack two in each other, with a toy cat ball inside and she loved taking it apart and pushing everything around.

Now, my newest addition… he loves it too… so much that he can eat the plastic of the caps. Are there any fun, cheap toys that are safe to eat? I can’t believe his teeth can tear off pieces of that thick plastic. I’m scared to hand over the Frisbee or anything else that I don’t want to end up in his stomach!

Willow toys are fun for them to tear apart, yummy to eat, and they are very inexpensive.

The best toys are always free or cheap. My bunnies love cardboard boxes, newspaper, willow and old books.
