I know there are some on here that have many buns (i.e. 4-8).  I am wondering how that works out for you.  Are all the buns bonded together as a group, or do you have pairs of bonded buns?

Seeing all the buns on here makes me melt.  I’ve often though that maybe once my buns are finally bonded and my house renovations are done that I could get some more buns… but then it seemed like it would be difficult.  I’m interested in hearing what other people have to say.

I have also thought about fostering buns, but my main concerns are that it would upset my existing cuties if new buns are coming and going, and also… I think it would be soo difficult to give up the foster bun once it came time to send it to a new home.

Anyway, I’d love to hear peoples experiences.

I see people here with large herd of buns.  bonded.  Then I can’t get Cotton and Ruby to bond.   Too much jealousy for that to happen.

I wonder how people with many buns do it.   Yes the fosters coming and going would upset your group.  Marking ugh.

cotton keeps marking me driving me nuts.  then I see all these bonded buns in big numbers too.  I guess lots of work and lots of patience is what did it for them.

Hopefully they will reply and tell us their secrets.

I have mostly singles and 2 sets of pairs.

As for fostering – I’ve done that many times with no upset rabbits – most people keep their personal rabbits and their foster rabbits separate. All my rabbits are in one big room either in x-pens or 3 story Leith Petwerk Condos except Pepe – after he got sick and took awhile to recover I just let him roam free and he’s pretty happy that way so I guess he’s free roam upstairs since he rarely comes downstairs any longer.

When I was fostering I found it easy to give up my fosters when I knew they would be going to a good home that would be able to give them more attention than I could. After all that was the whole idea. Unfortunately I have ended up with the older rabbits, the rabbits with behavior issues or the rabbits with medical conditions which is why I have so many. I was fortunate though to find many of my rabbits very good homes and that was very satisfying for me.

I have heard of people who keep Foster buns in a room all together – like as many as 20 – one big warren.
It works in the wild but, I have no clue how they do it!
