OK, only having Bo Bunny a few days I happened to pick up carrots yesterday with their tops.  I was looking at the radishes and was wondering (I’ve read the diet thing and it says raddish tops) but can I feed the actual radish?  If not, where do I just get the ‘tops’?  If that is even possible.

Also, this is kinda silly question, but I was reading rexs are prone to sore hocks.  Has anyone made a little bootie for their buns feet?  I don’t imagine they’d keep it on long, but was just kinda curous.

Sometimes you can find radishes with tops. You can give the radishes but they may not like them. I would limit the radish though.

I doubt a rabbit will tolerate anything on their feet. Best to keep their nails trimmed though.

Thanks a bunch, I decide to pass on the radishes (they did have their tops to them though) and work on some greens which he *loves*.  Now another question.  I believe he is fine, but during the day he has free acess to the livingroom, hallway, and kitchen and at times he just seems to lounge around.  He does have toys that he uses, and will be getting a vet appt sometime next week, just wanted to know their daily habits.

That’s very typical for a rabbit. My rabbits basically sleep and lounge all day long.

There are some rabbits out there that just aren’t into toys, so don’t worry about that. He sounds like he’s just happy to be around you and he’s content with that.

                Welcome!

Toys can be anything-not just a rattle or ball or other rabbit toys they sell. Try a cardboard box with holes cut in it (At least two) or a cat tunnel (or concrete form-they are sold in home depot’s for about six dollars-cardboard and totally safe)-also check out our toy section-https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/afv/topicsview/aff/4/Default.aspx

A better bet for sore hocks will be soft bedding and keeping those nails very trim. My girl has calloused areas on her feet, which is somewhat normal for bunnies, esp. rexes… you just want to make sure they don’t become red and inflamed.
