i’m spending $50 on a good groom for my dog today… he stinks like bunny pee!

ok… i AM terrible at keeping his nails clipped properly and i didn’t even know i was supposed to be trimming the hair between his pads.  good grief… where have i bEEn for the last 6yrs… poor dog.  anyways, i was hoping to find a place where i could wash him up that was set-up for doggy baths but there are none to be found near me.  and a driveway bath is still a couple months away from happening with all this dang snow all around.

dropped him off at noon & don’t pick him back up until 4pm!!   i miss the big lug!  and if it wasn’t baby’s nap time she would miss him too.  the buns are having a bit of a territory war of the dog i believe.  he was already baby’s fav… she follows him where ever he goes and since pinky came she has resurrected her dominant behaviour towards him.  head humping & such.  i discourage this and am optimistic that after pinky’s spay some of this will fade.

pinky in completely in love with him too.  yesterday she ran about 6 circles around him in a row & then started humping the side of his head.  he knows the buns shouldn’t do this (i tell them NO) and so he gently stood up with pinky then dangling from his head!  as i was reaching for her she dismounted.  lol.  and bogart had a ‘please DO somethings about this’ look about his face.

anyways, the buns must smell eachother on him, as pinky now does twirling pees in his presence and sprays him, which get baby in the mood for more humping… oi!  i’m fortunate that he’s such a good boy!

you are so lucky to have a dog that is so gentle towards your bunnies.  it’ll be great once Pinky and Baby are bonded, you’ll have a big happy fur family!

OMG that is the cutest thing ever…I LOVE hearing your stories about Baby and Bogart…and now Pinky…I know it must be frustrating but its soo heart warming that he is soo good with them. I’ll bet your right about the spay calming them down. Would that be great-two bunnies and doggie in a three-bond!! *sigh* SOOO CUTE!!

              What a sweet boy!

BTW – I never trimmed the hair between my dogs pads – they lived to be 11 & 13 – that fur helps protect the pads from things like ice and little rocks.

That Bogart sure is a doll to put up with those funny bunnies! Humping his head. OMG. Between Markus referring to those darling splayed legged buns of Leaf’s as”bunny turtles” and this I just can’t stop laughing. I’m sick I know. It’s just cracking me up more than usual today…

That is so hilariously cute. I can totally imagine that expression on a dogs face. Sounds
a bit hectic over there! Goodluck with everything! keep us up to date!

HAHAHAHAHA – o my goodness that is the funnies thing I’ve ever heard. I can’t believe how in love your two little girls are with your dog. He must be the gentlest sweetest dog in the world! I’m sorry that you had to give poor Bogart a bath from all that bunny pee…you may want to consider changing his name to Stud Muffin though!
