Hello! My name is Morgan & my buns name is Snowy(: We are brand new here and we would love some advice! So a little about Snowy and what we need help on…

I have had snowy since he was 8 weeks old, he has been on strictly oxbow young rabbit pellets(unlimited), timothy & orchard grass blend oxbow hay (unlimited also on the hay and water of course) but now we know it’s time for the diet to start changing! I want to get him started on lettuce (we are doing organic 50/50 spring mix, no iceberg of course!) And adult pellets ! So my overall question is, how do I transition to both SAFELY, and how much a day? How do I introduced other veggies and fruit SAFELY after he’s adjusted on his new diet? He just got neutered exactly a week ago and is 2 pounds! Thank you for your time, we really appreciate it (:

I would introduce some nice staple veggies like romaine or green leaf which hardly cause stomach troubles to begin with, and then slowly add in some other greens. With the pellets you will want to transition slowly off of young rabbit food, there are a lot of transition food plans and such that people like to follow, ex week one is 1/4 adult and 3/4 young, week two is 1/2 and 1/2 etc.
